Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction?

Semi-game related books:
- Iron John by Robert Bly
- Men and the water of life (half way through this now; good read).

Non-game related books:
- Super sad true love story by Gary Shteyngart (it's nothing like the title, and it was fucking awesome to read)
- a bunch of history books if you're into that.
- books by Mitch Albom

I have these if you want to borrow them.

I really enjoyed His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman. The trilogy consists of The Golden Compass; The Subtle Knife; and The Amber Spyglass. It is pretty much a series similar to Harry Potter, but it is a million times better. They made a movie out of the first book a couple years back, but it was pretty shitty and didn't stay faithful to the book (big surprise there). I have all 3 books on my bookshelf, so if you want to borrow em, just let me know.

I have a couple books I plan on reading soon. If they are good, I'll update you on em.

Anything by Chuck Palahniuk (he wrote Fight Club and Choke...both of which I recommend).

Fight Club
Survivor
Choke
Insible Monsters
Rant
Haunted
Snuff

Craig Clevenger
The Contortionists Handbook
Dermaphoria

Dry by Austen Burroughs

Freakonomics and Superfreakonomics

American Psycho

Right now I'm reading The Killer Inside Me (great look at the mind of a socialopath and it's a quick read).

Next up is Arnold's biography An Education of a Bodybuilder

Are those the books that try to convert children to Atheism? I remember there being a huge uproar from Christians when The Golden Compass was in theaters.

I know everybody here saw Fight Club. I also saw Choke and wished I read the book instead. I read Pygmy, which was really good, although difficult to read and a little silly because it was written entirely in broken English.
