What do you do after the opener?

Postby antivisual » Sun Nov 18, 2007 4:57 pm

I know you are supposed to build comfort, but it seems all I ever find information on is the opener, but what do you all do right after your opener to keep their attention?

Do you do a couple more questions like openers to spur conversations?

Do you just naturally ask the usual small talk convos? I haven't really attempted any opening yet, but i just keep thinking ok, well once I open with a question what do I do after to keep attention and try to act like i'm not hitting on them. Or is it ok to start doing a little flirting at that point for the comfort building?

After the opener, you DHV and neg your target. In MM this is called A2 or female to male attraction.

Storytelling. You have to come up with stories about yourself that DHV without coming off like your bragging.

Here's one of mine:

Oh! I gotta tell you guys about this. I used to date this girl that worked at a radio station. OMG she was gorgeous! Long blonde hair, huge… smile…

But anyway, she scored back stage passes to KISS! We didn’t get to meet the band or anything, but I had a great view of the show and I saw all kinds of shit going on back stage. You know?

So, during the drum solo, I see Gene Simmons is standing off to the side of the stage drinking some water or something. He’s got a towel around his neck. He’s just chilling when this totally hot chick with long blond hair, a rabbit skin coat and tall black high heel boots comes walking up to him. I couldn’t hear what she was saying, but I could tell she wanted him to kiss her because she was reaching up and her lips were puckered.

She’s not on the stage, so she’s about 4 feet lower than he is. Gene is shaking his head no and waving his hand in front of his face saying something like “ I can’t kiss you, it’ll fuck up my make up.” But she kept after him. So, Gene finally turns around, squats down at the edge of the stage and she got up on her toes kissed his ass!

While this is going on, Gene looks over at me with this really big shit-eating grin on his face and I thought to myself, “Gene you’re my fucking hero.”

*End Story*

DHV spikes in this story are:

I had a hot girlfriend that worked in radio,

I was back stage at a concert.

Other DHV spikes you can try to imbed into your stories are things like Protecter of friends and family, pre-selection, travel, confidance. some DHVs are in your story and some of them you display as you tell your story.

It was suggested to me a few days ago not to neg a target that isn't HB8 and up. I'm sure you can get away with it occasionally, but I really do see the point of sticking to this...it could go waaayy wrong. Just thought I'd throw that in there!

That's true. If she's a 7 or lower only neg her once. But, a 9 or higher needs 3 negs.
