Myspace Experiment

Postby Scoundrel » Thu Nov 23, 2006 11:56 am

I put up a phony myspace page using a picture of a chick I found on a random porn site. I wanted to find out just how many messages hot chicks get and what the AFCs are saying to them. I was shocked to find out that they don’t get as many messages as I’d been lead to believe. In two weeks I only got 3 messages and 4 friend requests. All of them from AFCs. I had more game than these guys even before I discovered the PUA community.

They’d say things like “if you were any hotter you’d burn a hole in the ground” or ask “what do I have to do to get to know you?” what I’m saying is that gaming chicks on myspace is like shooting fish in a barrel if you’ve got game.

I also used this phony profile to add a comment or two to my own page as a little social proofing. If any of you are running game on the web, you should give this a try. It’s an eye opener.

You might have gotten more results if you used a picture that looked like one somebody took themselves instead of what I assumed was a professionally shot photo.

All the women i know on myspace get bombed by guys wanting to talk or sending friends requests. A couple have been propositioned for sex more than once.

I did a similar experiment on craigslist with a picture I pulled off a random myspace profile and borrowed the text off of a generic profile somebody had posted elsewhere. The first day the email account I set up for it had about 80 emails (it was a Sunday) by the second day there were about 350. 500 by the third.

I didn't even take the time to read most of them, but the ones I read were severely lacking in game except for one guy from Addison who pulled the "3 qualities that can't be physical" test. I responded back to him by not answering but by turning the question back on him.

First he emailed and said that wasn't fair. Then 2 hours later he emailed 4 qualities. Then 2 hours after that, 2 more qualities and an attempt to fluff.

Interesting, I was starting to think that I used a pic of a girl that was too good looking and guys would be afraid to talk to her. Here she is:

Dude that if fuc*in genius! Am I allowed to cuss in the forums?

I am going to get a fake profile so I can see what the AFC's say to the girls, but yes myspace is dfeinitely good if you hvae game. Just met this chick the other week and we are FB's already!

I think a lot of it is actually reading the profile, and then saying something to them that relates back to them. I hit this girl up and she was like WOW, you actually read my profile.. Im impressed!

Anyone going to Club Blue tonight for Lil SCrappy concert?

Should be a target rich environment. Let me know if you are, and we can meet up. I have yet to meet any fellow PUA's... :( I am in the community, but none of my friends are, so its hard to share technique and critique with them.

Here's a follow up. My phony profile still isn't getting much in the way of messages or friend requests. Maybe 1 or 2 a week.

Has anyone else tried this? what kind of feedback are you getting?

Why?

Postby Self » Tue Jan 02, 2007 12:51 pm

Not sure I understand the point. We are, were or know AFC's so we all know what they'll say to this 'hot chick'. . .

i gave this idea a shot. I used rachel bilsons pic,you know the chick from The OC. to make a long story short, I basically got several messages and friend request from AFCs. I pretty much got "oh my god youre so hot, we should talk sometime" or "I just wanted to say hi to the hottest chick on the internet, lets go out sometime." I was talking with a friend last night and he was telling me how he basically will message a female on myspace he thinks is hot and tells her how hot he thinks she is. Suprise! Suprise! Not 1 single chick has responded back.

The point is that you get a look into what's it's like to be a hot chick.

Does 'her' profile actually look like a real persons? ie. does she have friends, likes/ dislikes, and comments? Ive seen lots of profiles where it looks like someone just signed up, didnt care and did the bare minimum. Why bother with messaging them?
