Where do I take someone who's under 21?!?!

Postby omni » Thu Aug 02, 2007 3:58 pm

I've done pretty well over the last week or so. I've gotten several numbers and I'm thinking about the day 2 plans. The problem is that a few of the girls are under 21 (but over 18!).

Most of the time I can spend w/ them will be after 8pm. So I'd love some ideas for what to do w/ them. Bars and most clubs are obviously out so my go to locales are not good. And they're looking for fun so a meet up at Starbucks won't cut it. Help! Thanks in advance, guys.

Main Event. All Ages, Pool, bowling, video games, lazer tag.

If you can't find something you both like doing there you shouldn't be hanging out.

Some ideas:

Bowling (I remember seeing one in Grapevine Mills that was dark and had a lot of black lighting and neon), arcade (Gameworks?), if you're in Fort Worth I know they show movies downtown outside on a large screen one night of the week, museums if they're artsy....Cool exhibit at the Modern in Ft. Worth right now...botanical gardens, Speed Zone, Putt-Putt golf, Chucky-Cheeses (Kinda goofy, I know....but sometimes it's fun to be a kid again. Depends on the girl). Does Dave and Busters have an age requirement? I don't remember. Eat at Rain Forest Cafe. Is the Magic Time Machine restaurant still around? Those are different and fun. Hard Rock cafe in Dallas....Walk around and look at all the guitars and music paraphanelia or Planet H'wood. Restaurant at the top of Reunion Tower (May be too expensive...if it is, I think you can just go up there and see the view. I usually take them to the revolving bar so I'm not 100% sure on what time they close the viewing platform). Naked twister. New Fine Arts----tell them to pick out a toy

Learn to cook one meal really well. Take her with you to the grocery store to buy the stuff and cook for her. Or, cook it together and then use it to qualify her.

Most cities have a paper that comes out the latter part of the week with activities listed. In Ft. Worth, it's called "GO". It's in Friday's Star-Telegram each week. There's also a local mag called Fort Worth Weekly you can find around town....kinda like Dallas Observer. You can always find things to do using those sources. Fort Worth Weekly has a website, but the actual paper is better IMO.

Have fun.

Shakespeare in the park. Was there last week with this chic I called up out of nowhere that very same day... Lots of young couples cuddling up on the grass under the moonlight... it's over now, though... but if you think along those lines, maybe you can get some ideas.

I'm curious. How did you do this? Did you just start dialing numbers at random until you got a young chick that answered? What did you say if an old lady or a dude answered? lol.

When I said "out of nowhere" I meant without making plans beforehand lol. Yeah, I called several chics (i.e. leads) in my phonebook up with a prepared story until one bit.

Just to clarify, Main Event HAS bowling, Pool, video games and laser tag all under one roof. lIke I said if you cant find something you both like doing there, there's something else wrong.

I like the Main Event idea. I like all of the ideas. I may try go-carts too. One of the girls seems like she may be up for just making it a Blockbuster night, so that could be easier to plan than I expected. Thanks for the help & keep it coming.
