I've spent almost every weekend since I moved down here (last September) in Uptown (BlackFriar, Renfield's, Den), and I've found that being 23 is working against me. It's frustrating how everybody looks at me like a puppy, or "you're such a baby". I get it, it'll be great to look young in my 30's, but it's crappy when people say things like "I can't be seen with you" because I'm young.

So, I guess I've got a few questions:

1. How do I make this less of an issue when this comes up? I've figured out how to look older, but I'd rather learn how to use this to my advantage (talk about youth vs. maturity/experience?)

2. Where should I be hunting? Do I go down to SMU, or am I too old for a college bar? Uptown really isn't getting me anywhere. At least in college I'd get occasionally a 'fuck off' text if a girl just blindly gave me her number.

Uptown seems to me like mid20's + females looking for guys 30ish + for dating or long term who can demonstrate they have a good career.

I don't know about other area's in Dallas b/c I haven't been anywhere except Uptown since 04.

If you are 23 and people are talking about your age, one suggestion that I have is to dress a little older. If you are going to uptown with the normal "bro" uniform, and have a clean shaven younger-looking face, then you will get that reception. Assuming you are caucasian, then uptown is going to be your best bet. Also, if you are slender, that will make you look younger as well, I suggest hitting up the weights as well to give more size to your frame.

If you aren't caucasian, uptown is probably not your best bet. Holler at me and I can tell you some other places to go.

Facial hair helped me in the winter, but what counts as dressing a little older? I've figured out a suit and not shaving for 2 weeks makes me 30. women love the suit, but it's not something for every weekend.

Facial hair seems to be in pretty good with most women right now. What I do is shave with barber clippers. Go buy the Wahl Peanut and use it a couple days before you go out. It leaves a shadow

As far as dress in the summer my best advice is don't over think it too much. You can go to a nice clothing store and get an experts advice on what you need for what you want to do and your body type. I would advise assuming you are in good shape to have it fit fairly snug. I'm not in to baggy shirts. Ideally I like the length on a short sleave shirt to come down to about the base of my dick. I get most my shirts tailored b/c I am wide in the shoulders and narrow at the hip about like a cartoon character. I tell my tailor to cut it the way it would look best on me.

It seems to me that Khaki shorts and a polo shirt with boater shoes are pretty generic but will have some degree of appeal to the widest variety of women. If you are going in shorts it helps to be tan. Those plaid shorts can be kind of hit or miss. There are some cool looking ones out there but you need a plain colored shirt colored in something also on the shorts

There are some real cool t-shirts with the v-neck if you want to get in to the 50+ dollar range. I had a Beatles one once with their faces in black and white across the chest and a cool looking colorful contrasting guitar going up and down at a bit of an angle. Wore it twice and got compliments but I think some asshole roommate stole it. I paid about 60 for it. You got a couple things working for you with something like that. Most women are cool with the beatles but if they don't notice beatles, the color and design is cool too.

Another way to deal with this is to always answer a logical question with something illogical, the idea is to cut the thread and move the conversation forward. I found this with some MILFs I have met, I have gone my way without revealing my age a few times. Now, is this always gonna work, of course no, but if you free yourself from the frame of this being an issue, she might too. Make it happen!
