Reading material and success?

Postby Guest » Sun Mar 27, 2011 10:44 pm

ok, so i guess theres no nice way to explain about myself. Ive literally have read almost every PU book I could find. Several people contradict others. how do you get through so much crap( which I hear 90% of what i read is detrimental to me). so heres my list.

1. Conquer you campus by mark redman. its all about using fun to get girls during college. might work at bars...

2. The Game by neil strauss

3. Magic bullets by Nick savoy. I personally don't recommend it.

4. Venusian Arts Handbook by mystery

5. The Mystery method: How to get beautiful Women into bed by mystery.

6. Strip club Seduction by dean cortez. His method is similar to Mysterys and its from a PUA point of view.

7. Attraction Explained by Adam lyons.

8. DYD by david deanglos. He constantly contradicts himself, it does not help with teasing.

9. The power of now by eckhart tolle. The way he writes is confusing

10. How to get a girl friend by Stephen nash. He was some dude in the game.

11. 15 steps to becoming a Master seducer by kezia nobles. so far its a ok read.

12. Secrets of the A Game: How to Meet and Attract Women Anywhere, Anyplace, Anytime by logan richards. I threw this one away....

13. Date Hotter Girls by rob judge. Hes anti PUA, even know he started out as one.

So Im wondering if Im my own worst enemy or its the material ive read. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't even bother to read that list.

You read too much. The more you know, the more you know. It doesn't mean you'll be any better. The more you know, the more you know.

So, basically I need to sarge more. What did you read that made you more successful? I plan on finishing kezia nobles book and going and applying until im efficient enough to meet my own goals.

I read The Game. Then, I read Mystery Method (which I thought was silly). Then, I sarged. I sarged alone in the beginning. The first time I went sarging was on a Wednesday at Corner Bar. I was wearing a pink button up linen shirt and some jeans. I pulled the hottest chick I'd ever pulled in my enter life from a mixed set.

We had a shot together. She gave me her number. Then, she left. I waited around for a while to see if there was anything else worth approaching. No go...

I left. She called. I went to her house. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

First night, SNL, with the hottest chick of my life (at that time). Game is simple. You can learn all you need to know from The Game. Then again, I could just be exceptional...althought that's not true because I've had this converation with many others and they agree.

The more I read, the worse my Game got...it made me think too much. Your worst enemy with Game is THINKING...you just have to react, you just have to be. THINKING serves no purpose in what we do.

I haven't read much in the form of "books" at all. I have a good wing man that got me started and read some stuff on this website and sosuave. I have no doubt there are some guys on this forum that are as good or better than those who write those books.

To be successful you have to get out there and jump in head first with the attitude that you just don't care what happens. You'll learn from your own experiences what works and what doesn't. Keep trying different things until you find what works for you.

You don't need to read all that stuff to be good at game. If you understand the fundamentals of game, and most importantly, S&R value, you should be good to go. You succeed on the skills you acquire in the field.

I also feel that many of these books are written as a quick fix. So they focus on gimmicks, gambits and etc. Which may or may not work. To be honest, I learned more from psychology books than books written by PUAs.

Don't read another thing for now. Just get out there and start trying to some of the shit you have read. Not everything is going to mesh with your personality. You need to take little tidbits from a lot of different places and piece those into your arsenal. You don't know what works well for you until you go try some different stuff over and over.

I would do that with mystery's book but i have not read that in ages. Ill re-read it this week and apply for the next couple months. I plan on sarging 4 days a week for four hours each time and manage to find a time to do my HW for college.

I like to read, and am very analytical. I try to break everything down and it's almost impossible sometimes for me to get out of my own head. As a result, I have read a boatload about psychology, game, and application. That being said, I knew how it was supposed to work, but not the application. It's like going to college to be an electrician but never touching a circuit breaker. You know that Why and the How, but you don't know the application.

The best interactions I have ever had were the ones that I can't really remember, because I got out of my head and just let it happen.

Couple things man:

1)You seem to be arguing with the advice that people are giving you on this thread.I have met some of them and they know what they are talking about,if you at least consider doing what they tell you to do you will reap benefits.

2) STOP READING IMMEADIATELY.Guys with the too much information do not get laid much. Go out sever times a week and make sure that you travel with bare essentials for the night-meaning- go out with 1 or 2 ideas at the most, you will be able to focus on them and take action.

3) ACTION is king.No amount of reading will make you better. Now reading does help reprogram beliefs and thinking habits but if you want to get good at this-you need to take action! And taking actions is hard if you are stuck in your head with all the theory.

4) RESULTS- wont come to you right away. Me and other people on this forum, have paid our dues- WE FAILED A LOT AND WE SUCCEEDED A LOT. Have faith in the process and keep on doing it-only by putting your nose to the grindstone will you see long term results and improvements.

I know that I need to tell you theese things because I am guilty of doing them myself- I am very analytical and getting stuck in me head is my greatest bad habit. If you develop your skill to get out of your head and get focused on the moment-ie. BEING PRESENT IN THE MOMENT, then you will improve faster.

Now,get out and take what you want.
