Open PUA discussion

I would like to thank everyone who responded. Every bit of information is useful as it lets the mind have an increased amount of choices. Having a large amount of choices and methods creates a more calculated decision making process.

I did not want to narrow the scope of this question to MLTR’s and FB’s because I feel that many people on this forum can benefit from all around LTR advice. I am under the assumption that the same mechanics are at work in LTR’s and MLTR’s, though I do not know for sure. In my case, I would like to have a relationship with 2 girls at the same time. I recently found that one of them is into open relationships, but the other one isn’t. The problem here is not to make them at peace with each other, but with how to make them be invested into a relationship which is open.

I pulled one of the girls from an open relationship. It seems as though creating an open relationship situation makes girls more likely to get hurt and leave. She does not want to see her ex-BF ever again due to some unimaginable drama. I want to be the person who can understand the process and avoid the same result happening to me as with this girl and her BF.

If you do not understand the qualities associated with being alpha, you will never understand how to be attractive to women. I am assuming that having a relatively smooth LTR means understanding the psychology and dynamics of cohabitation and long term intimacy. I do not see how just letting "the invisible hand" take care of a relationship will make it trouble free. I'm sure that there is a huge amount of learning associated with making each other happy.

There are two schools of acting. One is character acting. In this school, students learn to put on masks and become someone else.

The second is called method acting. In this school, students learn to take off their masks and find the character within them.

I study PU as a method actor would.

Once again, Scoundrel, you have crystalized my thoughts eloquently. This is exactly my approach as well. There's an alpha male in each one of us. There's scientific evidence to suggest that, with some studies showing that certain beta fish convert to alpha when the alphas are removed.

It has been my past experience that no matter how you play the game, eventually you will have to switch into the "supportive male, that provides for her" role that she is instinctively looking for when you are trying to first "woe" her.

That is the entire thing that women search for and weed out in men. We hear this stuff all the time in this community but when it comes to relationships PU is just the surface, once past this you'll have to switch more into a beta role or the relationship will be shit laden with fights.

The balance between nice guy and jerk off is a real hard one to toe, added to that, that now "women are created equal" to men in this society it is damn near impossible to find a 9 or 10 that IF you get her and successfully convert into a relationship, she won't start the whole "cheat on you shortly after because now youre to beta for her, and besides she doesn't need a man anyway, or at least thats what society tells her" phase.

If you find yourself in a relationship with alot of fights, chances are you aren't "supportive" enough for her and the fights stem around you "not caring" anymore. You are now too "Alpha" for her and she wants you to be more beta. However, this is where it gets tricky. If you become too Beta, then you may not even be able to know when that has happened until she has already cheated on you and it's too late.

My truth is, given the world as it is today, you simply cant trust women at all.

So, in short.... my antidote for a "happy" LTR. Where you can be fairly confident that you have a solid relationship is....

Get in at least 1 fight a week about something.... and let that fight last for about a day. After the cut off time DROP it admit that you may have been a little hasty, and have wild make up sex where you force her to submit, while pulling her hair, and smacking her ass.

As the relationship reaches 5-6 months switch to every other week.
Apply as needed.

I think the word that you're looking for is "woo". The difference is pretty significant. :P

Maybe he meant whoop. As in, "I'm gonna whoop your ass the next time you act like a slut in public!"

I agree strongly with this book recommendation. That + The Seven habits of highly effective people and you're golden. Why? Because women are attracted to a man of purpose who embraces his masculinity and has a clear direction in life. Men who have a strong identity and purpose are often naturals. Instead of imitating them, develop your own core and you will have great LTRs.

I love Zan's analogy on this one:

The difference between men and women can be seen in the way they pee. Women pee sitting down. They don't care where it goes.
Men on the other hand... They need something to aim at. They need direction and purpose. An "aimless" man is like a women.

Anyways, good luck man.

I think the recommended book section should be interactive, with user input and user ratings. I ordered those books, but I noticed some important ones are missing, such as the Mystery Method by Mystery. I ordered "The Way of The Superior Man" earlier today, by the way. Maybe this belongs in the "suggestions" portion... oh well... submit!

Lous+Copeland, in their book "How to succeed with women" have some good relationship advice.
