Corrupt Motherfuckers

Anything goes
I say we measure everyones bmi level, then set a maximum number on the bmi scale that is acceptable. If your fat ass is over the designated limit, then you are only able to buy certain foods at the grocery store (such as fruits, veggies, and the such) until you get the lard off of yourself.

In addition, there will be suggested heart bpm by age bracket. If your heart resting or active rate is above the limit, then you will be fined. This will get people to do cardio on a regular basis.

Sure, it may be extreme, but america is fat, one of the fattest countries in the world. We are lazy. Social pressure no longer applies to us, we simply don't care. If a girl is plus size, we say good and that she is "healthy and confident", more like unhealthy and disgusting. If you are fat, it is no ones fault but your own. I have no pity for fat people. Sure, some people have to work harder to keep fat off, but ultimately it is up to you.

Lets not forget, this would reduce doctor visits and problems like high blood pressure and heart attacks.
How Orwellian. If they can't afford to pay the ticket are they given jail time? Perhaps when the war on terror is exposed as farce the War on Obesity will start gaining some steam.

Perhaps we should start at the top, not the very bottom, eh? Maybe the foods that are mass produced dirt cheap and contain all kinds of high fructose corn syrup, refined sugars and other nasty chemicals and substances which are proven to make people fat should be removed from the shelves. Maybe the food pyramid should be yanked from school shelves, exposed as the lie that it is. Maybe the constant advertising for junk foods, fast foods, soda's etc. should be eliminated. Maybe real life health foods like eggs and raw milk should not be demonized as unhealthy and cholesterol builders.

That won't happen though. Wanna know why? There is too much profit to be made. Fast food is dirt cheap to produce. Junk food is dirt cheap to produce. Advertising is dirt cheap compared to the profits they pull in. Make no mistake, the "food" you eat causes your illness. It takes real effort by those involved to actually change things (Hope for Change.....idiots). When you're making money hand over fist you don't want change. You want more money. If Doctors actually wanted to cure people they would go broke. If people ate right and exercised the entire health industry would make a fraction of what it currently does.

It's about money, power, and control. When you are a fat cow you are completely controlled. The farmers tending you keep you fat enough and entertained enough so you don't question anything. And you keep giving up your money and your power. Keep eating, keep consuming, keep spending, we love your money. By the year 2040 100% of Americans will be obese. That's not a guess or an estimate, if the trend continues that is a literal statement. We're all on a sinking ship. Descending into a sea of donuts and ranch dressing. Idiocracy is our future.

I went to a 24 hour fitness last night, simply so I can workout early AM. As I pulled up in the parking lot it looked like a scene from a Science Fiction movie. At least 40 fat-asses on treadmills all staring up at a television. While the Aliens waged war and enslaved the world, everyone was busy watching Jersey Shore.

It's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.

That's a good idea. But...then we run into the question again, how much power should the government have? Where do we draw the line at what they can and can not allow for us?

Money is the root of all evil as they say. Money is the only thing that matters, if a company has an opportunity to make a bunch of money, but at the same time take away ones rights and destroy our earth and our health, then 99% of the time, they will go for the option to gain more money....regardless of the outcome.

And thus is the problem with out political systerm. Lets be honest, all politicans are the same. No matter who we elect, we have two options, a douche bag or a ham sandwich (in the words of southpark). We have candidate A or candidate B, and both of those are the same people. People are stuck on party lines, and will only vote for a candidate because of their political affiliation, wether they be republican or democrat, when essential the outcome is the same. In the last 10 years we have had 2 presidents from two parties, yet we are still in the same bullshit war on terror, we are still spending money we don't have to no end. There is no difference here, simply a façade to make us think we have a say in things, to make us think we are a democracy.

Does it matter who you vote for? Not in the least. If you are in texas, no matter what, your vote will go for the republican candidate. If you are in California, no matter what, your vote will go to the democratic candidate. This is thanks to the electoral college. How will things ever change if we can only elect the same two parties into power? How can we possibly change anything when someone else (the electoral college) decides for us who will be sworn into office?

No matter how much anyone argues or disagrees about politics or this bill or that bill...in the end it is all pointless. We the people are either too weak or stupid (not sure which) to make any change. The corrupt, money hungry politicians will always be in power and decide what is best for us, even if the majority disagrees. We are happy to watch mtv and jersey shore, to get that new shirt from the gap, and to work a mundane 9-5. As long as we have these things, we are happy. We don't care about the bigger picture because we, as a species, are too simple to care.

Nothing will change short of a major revolution, where WE take the power back.
DDT? Are you referring to the pesticide that was soaked all over humans in the 50s to prevent malaria, and has been linked to cancer?
DDT was banned because of the impact is has on the thickness of egg shells of wild birds such as the Bald Eagle.

It is suspected to cause cancer, but so are cell phones.

DDT is the most effective chemical in the history of mankind to control and eliminate arthropods. Namely, mosquitos. After the U.S. ban, the rest of the world followed. The result? Millions of people in third world countries have died from malaria. Only recently have they started using DDT again and have, again, gotten the mosquito population under control.

Further, read the headlines. Bed bugs are back. It's a huge issue in apartment complexes and hotels. Now, it's hitting airlines. Soon, they'll be in your homes. Getting rid of bed bugs is next to impossible. There has been a ton of evidence that shows that when we banned DDT, the population of bed bugs started to grow again.

Banning DDT has killed millions of people bro. All for some fucking bird egg shells.

But it's a good idea for them to ticket us for being too fat? Govt has too much power already. You take away these foods and advertising you take away much of their power. Let me be more specific, there is ZERO difference between big business and government. The same people that supposedly represent is in the Govt also sit on the boards for these large companies. It's impossible to get rich having a Govt. job, yet most are millionaires. Guess why.

Money and power. Money is power. The irony is there is no gold standard. Our money is in reality value-less. The only value it has is the value we place on it. We could just as easily be paying for groceries with grams of baking soda.

You're right. Voting is a nonsensical waste of time. It's nothing but the illusion of choice. Whoever is meant to win, will win. Bush jr. was not elected by the people but he still took office because he was meant to win. Obama had 2 billion behind his campaign. He was groomed to be president for a very long time. Not like it even makes a difference, the President is little more than a company spokesperson. It's beyond naive to think that one person actually makes the decisions for the country. The owners of this country make all decisions and have the current puppet president sign the bill into law. Obama was brought in because they always bring in a populist democrat in times of war so they can get the poor on their side to go fight, and die, for them. That's a very scary thing to think about. That means war is planned for a time to come.

Anybody who really thinks there is a difference between democrats and republicans is just plain naive. Their a dual-headed monster. They are 2 sides of the same coin. These people go to the same schools, the same country clubs, are member of the same secret societies and we still have idiots fighting over them "Fuck you man, I'm a democrat!".

It's called Divide and Conquer.

The only form of currency that has any innate value are things that are absolutely essential for human life. Only if you're using food and water as a currency do you actually trade with any true value.

Gold is just as worthless as paper money if we deem it to be worthless.

This is certainly true.

The absurdity is that we work and scrimp and save for paper. Paper that has no backing in any solid product. Imagine you discovered an inhabited island with an infinite wealth of natural resources, but the people were very primitive. You could convince these people that this paper you have is valuable. You could get them to work for you, mining their own natural resources, handing over the resources to you in return for pieces of paper. You yourself have an infinite supply of paper, so much that you can bleed this island dry of all it's resources. You would be wealthy beyond measure and these people of the island would be far poorer than before you arrived. How stupid would you find someone who was willing to work and give up their lives for paper that you printed out of thin air....

They have said almost everything causes cancer....so it is hard to say what really does and doesn't cause cancer, even in what I cited above, it seems to sit on the fence at times... But the thing is, that DDT is a synthetic pesticide. Also, they had mosquitoes become resistant to the DDT, thus making it highly ineffective against DDT resistant mosquitoes.

This is why it is so stupid that people trade their money in for gold bars in case of a terrorist attack or Armageddon scenario. If one of those things happened, the only thing of value will be water, food, shelter, and ammo.

Makes you wonder....is it really worth it to work my life away at this job? Or should I find what is really important and overcome the illusion of materialism.

Humans have been on earth about 100,000 years. For the first 90,000 of those years, we were nomadic hunter-gatherers... so basically we ate nuts, berries, and meat... and we ran around ALL DAY chasing bears and mammoths and whatnot.

That's what we're evolved for.

10,000 years ago, farming was invented.

200 years ago, industrialization.

My point is, we are not evolved to eat high fructose corn syrup, not to mention all the preservatives, chemicals, and processed foods that we're flooded with today.

Most importantly, we're not evolved to sit on our ass all day.

Indeed. I would sooner be homeless then work a job I hated. Never again.

Which reminds me, I have seen many, many young white homeless around Dallas. For the first time. Clean looking homeless. They look like they belong in college, or should be college professors.
