Actually, I disagree with this guy in this case. Where does she say that she's looking for "romance, love, long term commitment?" She doesn't. He's just assuming that, and wrongly so if you ask me.

Or she believes that the only thing that any of these guys would want her for is sex. In other words, she thinks that her value isn't as high as theirs. To compensate, she justifies to herself that this is all in fun and that she doesn't really want any of the guys that she inevitably fucks.

I'll bet you anything that there were a fair number of guys that she would have been eager to have a relationship with if they had viewed her as relationship material. Since she didn't have the confidence, or think her value was high enough, she settled for second: being fucked by them, hoping that it would be good enough for one of them to stay.

I think the 'experiment' reeks of low self-esteem and some thrill seeking behaviors (the thrill coming from being nailed by a guy that doesn't have any use for you). And, if it were for just shits and giggles and for fun, then why stop at 14? There are plenty of other athletes from which to choose.

You know damn right that women go through "phases." This girl may well have low self esteem, maybe she has daddy issues, maybe...maybe a lot of things.

But the fact is that women talk like this with one another. When women describe their sexual encounters to each other, sometimes it's crass and raunchy. This "report" was only meant for a few of her girlfriends to see. The interesting thing about the internet is that this kind of thing leaked out.
