Hey guys,

I'll keep this short, since I'm not writing an autobiography.

I had game before I knew what game was. Then, I got in a shitty LTR that ended up leaving me with horribly low self esteem (I'm sure many of you have been there). I had moderate success with women between the end of the LTR and the moment I decided to get this handled, and I'd do the right things to get attraction started...but after a fuck or a few dates I'd turn horribly AFC and get all clingy and attached. It was sad, but I'm over it now.

I got into DYD probably a little over a year ago. It was really empowering at first, and my self esteem began to rise and rise. I bought the Advanced Series and the Dr. Paul DVDs and my self esteem radically improved. I'm naturally cocky/funny so I really had a problem with this...I would go too over the edge with people and wonder why it didn't work. This is one of my main sticking points, and I'm working on calibrating it.

I got into Mystery Method via seeing Mystery on the DYD Body Language DVDs. I bought the VAH and alot of things that previously puzzled me are starting to click. I am really into MM at this point, because I feel it gives you alot of what DYD doesn't...a gameplan. DYD to me is alot like giving someone a weapons cheat in San Andreas or something. It will give you an edge, but probably not enough to finish the game. MM is like the ultimate strategy guide...from start to finish.

Anyway, I'm really excited to find this website. I post on the MM forum, but many of the guys there are from Britain and shit, so it's good to find a bunch of sargers close to home. It's so nice to find a bunch of people who want to improve themselves and the world around them. I look forward to sharing with and learning from all of you.

Same thing man...props for that post. I have a similar story, w/ a LTR that f/u my self-esteem, followed by getting high self esteem from DYD and then wondering what to do after neg-neg-neg-neg-neg ... neg-neg-neg-... DYD is an overload of material!

Anyway MM is the best, for real. I am glad to be on this site and looking forward to getting my game up there where I want it to be.

I wish Rick H wrote a book.

Damn. Sounds like everyone's story is the same. I know mine is. It's funny how the more you learn about interaction from guys like DeAngelo, Swinggcat, and Mystery, along with the more you apply it when you're in field, the more clear the interactions start to become. Sort of like a lens coming into focus. Pretty cool.

Yeah, I''ve basically got the same story too, and I'm only fifteen. Funny how early these things start, eh? Anyway, I was the man before I got into a black hole of a "relationship". I tried some DYD after ending it, and it really got me thinking, but it never really clicked for me. Anyway, I've bounced back and finally got my game back, but after a couple monthes of studying and applying Mystery Method, NLP, Juggler's Method, and several forums worth of information, I've realized how much this is helping me now. Ever since I've started gaming Mystery Method style, I can hardly imagine going back to where I was. This stuff really works, regardless of age. Anyway, it's tough to see all of my AFC friends trying to pick up girls without any idea of the games the girls are playing and how badly their being tooled. Anyway, any advice from you seasoned veterans is verymuch appreciated. I'm still very much an rAFC (or an aPUA? That sounds better :8)) , so I could really use any and all tips you guys have. You're all obviously much more experienced than I am.

Wow, so we basically are all the same.

I was brought into the community by David DeAngelo about a year ago.
I was looking for pick-up lines and ways to get my one-itis to like me back.

Then, somehow I found mASF and it was great.
But they were studying soo many different techniques that I couldn't keep up.

While looking at some archives they had of the whole neg theory I was intrigued.
The whole bitch shield and all that mess.
So, thats how I got into the Mystery Method.

Sucks though -- I've soaked up information and information, but havent yet applied.
I say its because I don't know how to drive or have a car to get around.

But I just have to get myself togheter then its time to improve.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. I am also looking for wings to hang out with, since I have moved here recently. This would be good because it is easier to learn when you actually see it right in front of you and can see the whole "clutter" of body language.

I found my way to this site from bristol lair. The listed groups in LA seem to be dead. Since they were yahoo groups this didn't surprise me.
My story deviates from those above in only one respect. I never had any game. Or at least I used to think I didn't. Although some things a couple of girls had told me in the past now suddenly make more since.

I picked up Style's book about four months ago, partly because I was looking for something like it and partly because it's appearence freaked me out. I mean, the damn thing looks like a bible. After reading Style's book I started searching. Bought a few videos from different gurus and started listening to to David D's interviews.

Now... Esentially I've been craming my head with these concepts but have gained very little practical experience. I know what I need to do. It's just a matter of forcing myself to do it.
