My Mother has worked in the ER at Baylor hospital for over 30 years. She used to work 100 hour weeks and sleep at the hospital when she first started. She used to get really upset when, some of the other nurses who werent as self motivated as she, would be pissy about working 40-50 hour shifts.

I have always pushed myself hard in life. "Never allow someones state of mind to bring yours down. It is your choice to do what you want. People won't respect you just because you're the hardest worker, they will respect you for how you treat them" she would tell me.

It may sound as if im an advocate of bootcamps. I've told everyone I came into contact with in game that it isn't necessary. I hated the fact that I went to a bootcamp at times because your buddies watch you and you feel like you should shine because you learned from the "Top Pua." But I've also recommended it to some people. I recommend it to some people because I have filters. I can read people and determine what would benefit the individual most. (no one has ever taken a bootcamp because of my recommendation)

It wasn't a bootcamp that made someone good. There's no hand holding, there's no guidance after. I wouldnt even consider it a shortcut. Its completely up to the individual to continue forward after recieving info...

In my boot camp there was a 55 yr old helicopter pilot from Australia who's wife passed away. A musician from Latin America. A film producer from Austin. An American Airlines Pilot. Busy people who aren't necessarily trying to devote a lifestyle to this.

Luke and I are friends. I give him a place to stay when he is in town. The past weekend he was here we talked about life and game and such for hours and hours and hours and hours....
He told me about a client that suffers from epilepsy and had brain surgery that didnt go well. A guy that has serious obsessive compulsive disorder. A guy that is depressed and suicidal. A surgeon that spent his whole life in books and college and medical school and his residency and has major social disadvantages. I wouldn't want Lukes job...

See,
not everyone who gets in game starts out with a fair advantage. Some people hit a fork in their road. Some people have to go over mountaineous rough terrain. Some people choose to fly in a jet and their jet takes a nose dive. Some people float and never land.

Some people never let go of how hard their journey was and carry resentment around because of it.

It is not the end of the journey one should set his sights on but rather the steps along the way.

Hey man, I never said we all start out with a fair advantage.

And, if you think that there are guys on here that haven't had to overcome some serious shit in their lives to get here then you're wrong. I'm one of them, some of it on par with the guys you used as examples. And, I'm proud to say that I did it on my own.

Could I have been better if I did a bootcamp? Maybe. Would I have stuck it out alone if I hadn't met success almost immediately? Don't know.

I don't care where someone has been in their life. I don't care what they did in the past. I care about who they are today and where they're going tomorrow. If someone went to a bootcamp then fine, who cares. Are you cool now? Yes, great!! We're friends.

I don't have a holier than thou attitude here. I simply stated that I think that bootcamps are not the only way to achieve success. And, one could argue that they're not even the best way to achieve success in pick-up. I think it could be the fastest. But that's just a theory. The way I, and many others on here did it, may not always be the best way for everyone. But, it is a valid and legitimate way to success.

I will say this though. I can almost always tell the difference between someone that took a bootcamp and someone that did not. Generally, not always, they're a little bit more technical about Game and a little bit less organic. This makes sense because they didn't go the longer route of learning on their own at their own pace and in such a way that is congruent to their personality.

Nice quote from your mom...words WE should all live by...

I'm curious...Why do you reframe your posts with soo much bias? If you read what I have written you would see that I have an outlook from both ends of the wick. Although I don't have patience for doragatory statements.

If you don't care about where someone came from then why do you tend to reflect on your past soo often?

I'm sure you would probably never have any respect for me or my thoughts just because I took a bootcamp (i must be a fraud right!). Dude, seriously, we are all here because we wanted success with women, or we needed validation from our peers. That means that many of us had an insecurity in some area. That means that for us to have an insecurity something must have caused that insecurity to begin with. That means that YES it is obvious to me that everyone here has gone thru some shit in their lives.

On those who have attended a bootcamp: How can you tell if someones (why would you care) game is not congruent with their personality if you don't know dont care about the reasons why they have arrived where they are? Why do you even waste your energy arguing this (fuck why am I for that matter lol)? To say that is just a way for you to attack again. This aint battleships this is REAL TALK. Like you stated, everything is available for free on the internet so a guy taking a bootcamp really has no advantage over someone who chooses to pursue it on his own, right. Right. Remind me... How is it a short cut again????

Who's arguing that a bootcamp is the best way to achieve success? Who is accusing you of having a holier than thou attitude? Be proud man, its free, its magnetic, theres nothing wrong with it.

If you read the rest of that sentence that was written, he goes on to say that the past doesn't matter, it's what you do with your future that matters. Looking back isn't going to get you anywhere but make excuses for yourself. This is a very accurate statement.

And the part about game being more organic if not learned through a boot camp makes perfect sence, at boot camp you are going to learn about some one else style, and not so much your own.

Lord.

You're putting way too many words in my mouth. I don't give a shit if you went to a fucking bootcamp. Good God. Just providing a different perspective.

Here's my position in a nutshell: bootcamps are not required for success. And, one could argue that you develop a game more true to yourself if you stay away from them. That's just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.

Also note that I have said time and time again that I don't give a shit if you went to a bootcamp. I don't care one little bit about anyone's past. What I care about is who you are today and where you're going tomorrow.

In all truth, UncleHOwie summed everything up the best in his one and only post on this subject (go back and take a look).

I'm done with this gay ass thread...

And, don't ever tell me to me proud again. I don't need your permission...
And the part about game being more organic if not learned through a boot camp makes perfect sence, at boot camp you are going to learn about some one else style, and not so much your own.
No part of game is 100% organic unless you're a natural. One of the most basic parts of gaming or sarging is taking something that you're not used to doing (cold approaches) and then going out and forcing yourself to do it over and over until it becomes internalized.

For many guys, the only thing organic about game is coming up with excuses for not approaching and then going home to masturbate. Those guys get into the community to change that. For those guys, game is not organic until they become immersed in the community.

One way to achieve that immersion is through community sarging. Another way is through a bootcamp. When I was most active, I did both.

I have noticed a segmentation in this lair. There are the new guys who are somewhat lost but finding their way. And then there are the veterans who have either (a) been through it all and are at the point where "be yourself" makes sense, after learning and internalizing a lot of new skills, or (b) got laid a lot before entering the community, so they already had a lot of the skills the newbies are trying to learn.

In my opinion, when answering a question like, "should I take a bootcamp?", one must put himself in the shoes of a person who is just starting out on the journey, not someone who has already internalized all the skills.
