I hung out w these guys tonight in uptown. Not saying they suck or I am amazing,
, but nothing I saw was worth spending large bootcamp sums of money on. They opened several sets, nothing honestly stuck. Don't let it sway you, just one guy's honest opinion.

Meet the guy before...not impressed.

I've learned to never be impressed by guru's. They're people too. More often than not they aren't much better at Game than you are...they're just more articulate.

Funny, if it was Style or Mystery with exact same performances as "said" guru I'm sure people would be drooling over what they may have seen.

I suppose because of the knowledge and experience that they posses they they are expected to be capable of banging a model in the middle of the dance floor...lol!

Time is of an escense and if a guy is willing to struggle through his development on his own or (possibly) speed up is progression and save time with the aid of a bootcamp... I am not to judge on either counts.

That is probably true. Many "gurus" in the community are very over rated. It is very possible that style is more myth than reality. But I have never met the guy, so I couldn't tell you. The community is full of charlatans, very few live up to their hype.

A boot camp is essentially just paying someone to push you into sets. All the info they give you pre boot camp you can find online for free.

"Charlatans." I had to look it up because I couldn't stand not knowing what the fucking word meant. Good man.

Now - Way, way, back in the day, when I was starting out, I did a bootcamp. Can I complain? I actually got an SNL on that bootcamp, so I thought it was pretty awesome. I mean, that was some great $2000 pussy.

Overpriced, yeah, but it did teach me some stuff. Could I have learned it myself online? Yes. Would I be 10x better at everything, not just pickup, if I didn't need other people to motivate me? Fucking absolutely. But this is a problem for me, and maybe it is for some others as well.

Now that point's been made, let me move on to another one.

That said - thinking about it some, I feel guilty now for making the original post - not because it is incorrect, but I feel bad for calling out Prodigy's friend in public. If I were in his shoes, and someone did that to my friend after I invited them out, I wouldn't appreciate it. So I owe the man an apology, which he will get, and I reckon I gotta own being an asshole on this one.

Back to bootcamps and gurus for a second - I don't agree that all gurus suck. We all know one or two gurus, unnamed, who live in dallas, who well...suck. But there are others who really do have quite a bit of value to offer. Even after years in the game, I would consider a bootcamp with Sean Newman for example. The man can banter, I want to learn that. I would do the Di Carlo drills. I would like to take some kind of acting class or something for my body language. I'm not always a great example of how to be humble, but sometimes the best way to learn something is to admit that there are people out there who are better than you at some things, and learn from them.

Haha Grimm, you don't have to apologize. That was your opinion and you are entitled to one.

The reality is that Luke was teaching a one-on-one bootcamp so he couldn't dedicate much time to sarging. Even so, we only saw them for about an hour, so you only got a glimpse of his game.

If someone saw you, br and I at blackfinn the other night, they would have thought that we have ZERO game. Is that the truth? Not entirely.

I will say that I've seen Luke out a few times in Austin and can say that he's actually pretty good.

Just my two cents

Ah, well in that case, no apology for you. And I take back the part about you not being a pushover...sucker. BAHAHA.

You know... Grimm. I always like your advice when I read it.

I've recently thought the same thing. But, for the most part..... I've noticed something. All these guys that say not to take a bootcamp that are good... HAVE. Or hung around someone that did.

I have no doubt I could be where I am without it, but.. it sure was an awakening. I just notice some of us say the same thing.

I've hated going to Lair meetings and seeing bootcamps get talked down to guys that need help and then obviously they get no help. It isn't an easy job and it really does take work and structure to coach a student.

That's not true, not in the least. I NEVER, EVER went to a bootcamp. I read The Game, watched some David DeAngelo's DVDs, read a bunch of blogs, and read some other ebooks and such. I started sarging with my AFCs friends at the time and routinely pulled pussy when they did not.

It took me one weekend to get my first number close, kiss close, and day2. Less than a week for my first fuck close and a little over a week for my first SNL...all with women that were hotter than the ones I used to date. The entire time, I was being shot down regularly (which is the real key, to learn to let rejection roll off your back).

I have no doubt that a bootcamp is valuable. But, there are plenty of guys that are good that got that way on their own or with the help of other Lair members.

The fact is that every hardcore proponent of bootcamps are guys that either hangout with instructors or guys that are aspiring to become an instructor. You can smell these guys from a million miles away. They way they talk, the way they walk, their jargon, etc. reeks of elitism. Are they 'successful' with women? No doubt. But, there are so many subsets of women to be 'successful' with. These guys are just high profile and come off as more Jersey Shore than anything else. Of course, I speak in generalities...
