Ten Tips for Personal Hygiene

Teeth:
1. Brush at least once daily.
Brushing daily prevents the buildup of plaque. Plaque is a film of bacteria on your teeth and gums.
The buildup of plaque leads to tooth decay. Non-removed plaque can harden into tartar. Plaque also irritates the gums, and can lead to gum disease. Gum disease is a leading cause of tooth loss in adults.
2. Floss daily.
Cleaning between the teeth with floss, covers the area your toothbrush cant reach. Flossing is important in prevention of the aforementioned gum disease.
3. Visit the dentist regularly.
Your dentist, can check on your oral hygiene techniques, to make sure you’re doing them correctly, prevent and fill cavities, whiten your teeth and more. Don’t be a stranger to the dentist. Yes, we all have nightmares about dental drills, but don’t let that stop you.
4. Whiten your teeth.
There are a lot of options for this now, so there is no real excuse for not doing this. Whitening toothpaste doesn’t do much, so don’t expect a lot. There are tons of whitening strips out there, which do a fair job. The only real way to get this done right is to go to the dentist, and have them do it. If may cost a pretty penny, but you get what you pay for.
5. Use mints or gum to have fresh breath.
One of the easiest ways to reduce plaque causing bacteria is to chew gum with xylitol. Plus, it gives you great breath. Let’s face it, with dragon breath, your not getting the kiss. Plan ahead and grab some xylitol gum.

Body:
1. Shower daily.
Consider this a requirement rather than a suggestion. It doesn’t matter if your European, this is still necessary. The Irish shower, won’t cut it. Just do it.
2. Use deodorant/antiperspirant.
This is also a necessity. Use as natural product as possible. Some products can cause lymph gland blockage, in the prevention of sweat. That’s not an excuse not to use it however. There is never an excuse for unchecked body odor, unless you are actually in the gym, or exercising. Proper use of these products will keep people from clearing a 10 foot radius around you, or wearing gas masks.
3. Keep eyebrow/ear/nose hair trimmed.
This one is broken way too often. I’m looking at YOU Peter Gallagher! Trim those eyebrows yesterday!
It seems as people get older, the more hair creeps into the nose, and ears. Don’t fall victim to this one, unless you don’t mind being the “guy with the furry ears.” Get a beard/mustache trimmer to keep this in check. In fact they make nose trimmer specifically for this task. Get one. Use it.
4. Get regular haircuts.
Being shaggy works great if your a cartoon character, and not so well for everyone else. This keeps a sharp and professional appearance. Aim for a cut every 3-4 weeks.
5. Use a great cologne or perfume.
Many people are remembered for a signature scent. Have at least 2 or 3 scents you can rotate for different occasions. Use a lighter, fresh scent, for more causal purposes, and a heavier, more formal scent for serious affairs.

Stay Tuned for part II!

Please leave a comment. I LOVE them!

I had mine whitened and it definitely made a difference in several aspects of my life. You'll look better, smile more, and portray more confidence as a result. As El Fenix mentioned, go to your dentist and have some custom whitening trays made along with your dentist's whitening gel and you'll see some decent results. They have a few different gel strengths and I recommend going with the strongest as long as your teeth/gums aren't highly sensitive. The stronger gel will get you better results faster. I paid around $275. Most of that is the cost of the custom whitening trays.

In my pursuit of the opposite sex, I've discovered that if you truly are wearing a "GREAT" cologne you will get compliments. I've worn a few different scents over the years and my Ralph Lauren Romance cologne gets complimented like no other. Women always ask me what fragrance I'm wearing and I always reply with a big smile and say "Thats the smell of Romance baby and all the women love it!"

So my point is, its a huge benefit for you to wear something that makes the ladies go crazy in their little panties. And if you are not getting complimented on your choice in cologne, then change to something else so you'll be hearing "ohh god you smell so good.......how can I resist you" more often!

With cologne, I have my signature scent but I tend to mix in different scents as well. I've noticed that if you date a girl for a while and you smell the same all the time, the scent gets boring and loses it's excitement. So if you all of a sudden have a new cologne, it'll have a different impact on her (assuming that it smells great) and should trigger a positive reaction.

Since smell is one of the strongest memory triggers, its important to have a signature scent. That way everytime she smells it, she thi

nks of you (hopefully)...

Some tips for buying cologne:

1. Have several types of fragrances, preferably one for each season and one universal (signature) scent. Spring fragrances are lighter, crisper than winter scents.

2. Experiment. Try multiple scents and see which ones you like best. A female opinion never hurt either. ;)

3. Save money. Colonge is expensive. Ask the sales associtate for samples. They're small and usually amount to 3-5 sprays. Test and see which ones get you the best reaction from women, then buy that colonge.

4. Try (and wear) colonge on your skin instead of clothes. The chemicals in colonge will react uniquely to your skin, and thus smell slightly different then the baseline scent.

5. Do not buy on impulse. Try on the cologne, then walk around the mall. This time will allow the cologne to mesh with your skin oils and pheromones, this is more than likely how you will smell. Sometimes, it's significantly different from the initial spray on.

Some of my favorites:

Aqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani
Slate by Banana Republic
Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren
Man by Versace

I think the best money to outcome ratio would be to use crest white strips. Make sure you get the pro effects ones, all the others are pretty useless. It will only cost about $40, and the kit will last 10 days. I have used this product in the past, and I get many compliments on the whiteness of my teeth. I probably used about 3-4 kits, taking about a month break in between each. Make sure not to use it too much because they will start to turn your teeth clear. (I wouldn't go over 4 boxes of em). Then make sure to use a whitening toothpaste (about 3 times a day) and stay away from fags (cigarettes), coffee, soda, and red wine. Whitening toothpaste keeps the surface stains off of your teeth, but you won't see much as in getting them whiter. Use the toothpaste to maintain your white teeth, not to get white teeth. This is why El Fenix mentioned that whitening toothpaste won't do much good as far as whitening goes. (Yes, I used to want to be a dentist at one time )

Some of my favorites:

Aqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani

I like aqua di gio also. But I have found that it is very very overused. Everyone and their brother wear this. When I did sport this everyone would say, "oh, your wearing aqua di gio". Hardly a unique scent. I'm looking for a good cologne right now. I am using Armani code black, but its just so so.

I am sure that the right cologne works like a charm, but it isn't for me. I don't like any overwhelming smells.

Our male bodies have natural pheremones that signal to the ladies how virile we are.

I pose a challenge to the guys that have been around a while (Newbies, under no circumstance is this for you):

Take a shower in the morning. Work out extremely hard in the evening, get a great sweat going on, and then go out without showering. Though you can, and should, wash your frank and beans.

As long as you follow all other hygiene guidelines you will have an animal magnetism that the ladies will find very attractive.

A little 5 o'clock shadow will certainly help.

You can wash dick, balls, ass, and mouth. You can save time if you simply use the same brush =) Put on deodorant if you want but don't wash pits.

Edit: Since you showered in the morning you should NOT have rank BO by the evening. If you have disgusting BO then you must wash pits. And everything else.
