There is no such thing as bad attention. It would be a DLV if you were shamefully getting rejected by the ugly girls. That's the way pre-section works. The ugly girls should be into you act like you are used to the attention.

Later that night we were talking with some hotties that were observing our previous antics with the uglies and they complimented us on our display of confidence. So it definitely gave us value in the eyes of the hotties!

If anyone flirts with you, there is no reason to react in a negative manner. The fact that they ARE flirting with you, giving your their undivided attention, etc. is a DHV.

When I say anyone, I mean anyone. If a gay man seems to be flirting with you, you don't flirt back, but you don't get all uncomfortable and defensive, either. You can be friendly and not have it come off as flirty.

If it's too annoying I would just use it to my advantage. To hot girl: she's got wayyy better game then you. You will only realize the power of that line once you use it.
