The bondage would have to be non-negotiable for it to be anything like slavery, but it might not cover all aspects of your life, and in that way could be partial.
Like if you go to jail, you are entirely bound physically, but for a limited time.
Or if you are a US citizen, you are bound to pay taxes, but you are free in some other ways.
Or if you are married, you are financially and sexually bound (let's say) but you still have other freedoms. Though this is more like a contract because the parties do have the freedom to break the bond, which is not true slavery.
