This wasn't your question, but this crap doesn't fly in my book.

Invitation was extended. The "call me back on tuesday to see if she can come" is BS. She knows about it, and can either plan accordingly or not.

I'd actually NOT call her...intentionally don't. A) see if she contacts, or better yet, followup day or 2 later (or later in the evening) and indicate it slipped your mind and can try to get together another time. that'll throw her a curveball.

Either better offer, or doesn't want to come.

Either way you need to reframe this situation to get anywhere. Calling her to check in on her availability, certainly doesn't get you any closer to where you want to be.
