Little help por favor?

Postby Guest » Thu Jul 30, 2009 10:43 pm

Alright so today my best friend went through my phone and called up like ALL the chicks in it(something I should have done!!!) and asked them if they wanted to go to the hookah bar with us on tuesday(you guys can come if you want, we are trying to get a group going and are bringing a HB9.5 that we are friends w/, and I think she is single ;) message me for details!) and he ends up calling a chick that I went on a day 2 with and had phone sex with(both a couple of months ago) and became needy afterwards and kinda said "listen I don't want to get hurt so if you're going to ignore me I am deleting your number"
Major overreaction :'(

I never actually deleted her number because a wise natural once told me to keep every single number you get in your phone because one day you might need to contact them.

I have not talked to her in a while, but she says she is down for it but needs to see if she has anything to do Tuesday so we should call her on tuesday and see if she can come. This chick is a really cool HB7.5-8. Just my type. So I am kinda excited about this news :)

My question for you guys is if she does want to go with us does that mean she has "forgiven" me for being needy and saying that thing to her?
If she wants to hang out should I give it another try with her?
Should I apologize for being so needy and saying that to her?

If she does want to hang out I am not going to be outcome dependent, but I am planning on gaming her. I will be dominant and ask her for a shotgun kiss thingy like in my current picture(btw I DID kiss that chick, and will quite possibly fclose her soon :D).

1, Q: If she does want to go with us does that mean she has "forgiven" me for being needy and saying that thing to her? - A: You're reading in to it too much. Besides, what is there to forgive? You don't owe her anything at this point. She's not your girlfriend or wife, you are allowed to delete her number.

2, Q: If she wants to hang out should I give it another try with her? - A: I am assuming you want to, so the answer is yes.

3, Q: Should I apologize for being so needy and saying that to her? - A: Depends, but I think probably not. Never apologize just to appease someone else. An apology is only the correct response to a genuine feeling of guilt. Being "needy" isn't hurtful of anyone but you, so I doubt you feel guilty and an apology for being needy or un-cool would come off as manipulative - in fact it would be manipulative and insincere.

If you have to apologize for something to ease your conscience, apologize for being rude and snapping at her. Although by no means is that required.

I say never apologize for anything. If you meant to do it, you shouldn't be sorry for your actions and if it was an accident it was beyond your control and therefore there is no need for an apology.

1. She is either over it...or it was never a big deal to begin with. Time heals most wounds.

2. Sure why not. Clearly you are interested. Just make sure you have learned from your previous mistakes and game accordingly.

3. Nah. I wouldn't even bring it up. Just act like nothing ever happened.

4. I know there isn't a four but I am preparing you for something. If things start to mesh at some point she is going to say I thought you deleted her number. Make sure you have a witty comment lined up for your response. It will be somewhat important to her how you answer this.

I've always said that once you reach a certain point with a woman, they will almost always be willing to allow you to start back at said point. Or will at least allow you back in. Think of it this way, once you're in with a woman you won't get carded at the door. To say she has forgiven you is wrong...not that there's anything to really forgive anyway.

Don't mention the deleting number thing. Act like nothing ever happened.

PC is right. Have a witty comment ready for her when she asks about not having deleted her number. Something like: "well, I thought I did, but I have like 1million point 75 [insert her name here]'s in my phone...guess I picked the wrong one."

And, Neuro, I think you're way off base here. Even if you meant to do something, sometimes what you meant to do was simply wrong. We're all guilty of doing things we need to apologize for...

I meant to sweep you off your feet. My means in doing so were sitting outside your window on a nightly basis watching you sleep.

Yeah, never have anything to apologize for : P

I believe being a man is being ABLE to admit when you're wrong (whether you admit it verbally or through actions) and being able to stand up for yourself when right. The "never apologize for anything" motto of much of the community is to break people out of the habit of apologizing for EVERYTHING. Meant as an extreme to break habits. Once a certain point is reached, common flippin' sense is supposed to kick in and give you a mental gauge on when to do which.

Don't think so much, be yourself and do whatever the hell feels good to you.

And don't ask for a kiss, just watch her body language and when the timing is right go in and make it happen. You'll score more points this way with the majority of women out there. If she doesn't like it then you move on because she isn't that into you and you are wasting your time.

Wow...

You kinda shot yourself in the foot with that comment. My best advice is to be super-cool when you hang out with her again. Be really outgoing and funny and have a good time. Absolutely do not apologize for that comment. Do not even mention it.

If you mention it and apologize guess who's being needy for round 2? You.

UncleHowie is right, don't ask for a kiss. Just do it when the timing is right.

Part 2....

Yes, there are times you will need to apologize. I do not feel that there is ever a time where you need to apologize to someone you barely know for something you said. Apologizing is another sign of weakness. You don't do it unless you know the person well and you truly did something horrible.

Don't apologize to new people unless you step on their toes or spill a drink. Even then you can just say, with a smile, "God! Why were you in the way of my drink?!?"

If you were to apologize to this girl for something she doesn't care about that will be the final nail in your coffin.

I was going to comment but everything has been pretty well covered.

There are times when an apology is warranted, but in this case, definitely do not apologize. It is a big deal in your mind, but not in hers. If you apologize, the issue will become equally big in her mind.

You should try to convince yourself that it's not a big deal (and it really isn't!). Otherwise she will pick up on your uneasiness and it will make you both uncomfortable. Repeat out loud twenty times: "It's not a big deal."
