!!FIGHT THE POWER!!

Hey, so how many of us are active in Men's rights groups? I've been thinking lately and thought about how ridiculously overpowered the feminists are and how there isn't really anyone fighting for OUR rights. So I'm considering joining a group

yea...have fun with that, but i personally dont think its a good idea. there isnt a mens rights movement, so you'd be seen as a mysoginist, chauvinist, which is NOT a good thing...

You sure bout that?

I think you mean to say, "There's not a strictly organized mens movement, like what there was back when women were fighting for "rights."

Tons of groups. No national organization though.

And when one tried to pop up, you're right. They are met with chants that say they are "mysoginist, chauvinist". What about misandry though?

Every time a group pops up they are mislabeled (maybe for legit reason, but most of the time not), and they are ridiculed by "alpha" men for being weaklings, and pussies, and not real men. They are then told that the group as a whole needs to grow up, man up, and stop whining.

Plus men have been so shit on (part of the reason for pick-up) that they have lost how to be men.

This "pick up" forum, IS a by-product of a mens movement.

Part of the reason Bull Run's "Manhood" Thread is so very important and thus a sticky. We have to return to manhood. We have to unite and stop thinking that the other men out there are enemies, and consider them brothers instead. We have to stop putting the pussy on a pedastool, and control our own fucking desires to fuck.

I'm all for you doing that Muk. Every man should. Men's rights is a world problem.

You're right, being labeled a mysoginist or chauvinist isn't a good thing, but sometimes you have to stand against scrutiny and condemnation for a greater cause. Most men aren't strong enough to do it though, and like some say, "just want to whine about it" and don't want to put in the labor to make it happen.

Help me out here guys... I am not sure I understand what rights we as men do not have. Didn't men start out with the most all the rights; isn't that what the feminist movement is all about? I am not bitching or complaining about this thread, or the topic of men's activism, I just do not understand. Is the whole point of men's activism what Finesse was talking about: stop putting pussy on a pedastool, and controlling out fucking desires to fuck?

The reason there is no national organization is because its very hard to fight an idea.

Right now there is no blatant disregard for men because that would be too against social acceptance.

Google Misandry.

Fathers get shit on in this country and around the world. The family court system is crap.

Women treat most men like shit if they can get away with it. Same for men, but women have more of a right in courts for several reasons. All cards women play (weaker sex, the male is abusive, women getting out of tickets or troubles with police, in domestic disturbance issues men always get the blame, women aren't as aggressively prosecuted for rape, when women make up false allegations on men.)

I'm not saying men don't do this either, but there is much more a prevalent stigma on men being, pedophiles, abusers, rapists, etc.. than there are women.

Raising boys like we do girls.. The public school system is not really the most conducive to boys, more young boys are diagnosed with this "ADD or ADHD" then girls, and many higher institutions of learning can have ratios of 75% to 25% girls to boys, respectively.

Men are now looked upon in society as dumb, ignorant, sex fiends and undeserving and is perpetuated by TV show's that point this out. (King of Queens, Family Guy, Simpson, Two and a Half Men, etc...) and are no longer a fatherly figure in the eyes of society, such was shown in 50's sitcoms.

Lifestyles have geared towards "equal employment", not quite sure where all this is affected except that men or more likely to be laid off, or unemployed than women.

Making fun of men is all "socially acceptable".

You hear tons of stuff about breast cancer, how much about prostate cancer? It kills just as many.

Like I said, it's hard to fight an idea.

Most men don't know about this. But take a look at media, it's all about empowering women, and dehumanizing men, I don't actually think I have seen an empowering of men besides the typical, "women, tools, sports and beer". It seems the media and society in general would have us believe that men are only learned on an issue if it is over tools, sports, picking up women, or beer.

More like there are laws that are supposed to be fair for both sexes that are upheld for women and aren't for men, and there are anti-man laws.

Examples are:
Alimony
Palimony

The Child support and custody system is so ridiculously slated towards the woman. The only way the father gets custody is if the mother is batshit insane or smoking crack (or both)
Not to mention that the child doesn't even have to be his to be hit with child support.

There's a law that says if a woman is drunk and you have sex with her, then you could be charged with rape.

any time there's a dispute between a man or a woman, regardless of if it's on the man's property, or if the woman is the aggressor, he's the one going to jail. Huge Gender bias in the courtrooms

And then there's Misandry all over the media.

In Movies on the radio in Commercials

Also public image:

When "cougars" date younger men it's "You go girl!" from the media.

When a guy dates a younger woman he's a "filthy cradle robber".
