I just turned 21 recently and I still have trouble approaching a girl I think is attractive. Even at a bar/club where she expects it. It's gotten to the point where I'm hesitant to even go out. I want to break the habit and stop being such a little girl. When I do approach, I'm not that successful, but that's not what bothers me. What bothers me is how I act when I actually approach. How nervous I am, how much I speed up my speech, how I fidget, etc. I feel myself slipping into this mindset that most of my guy friends is in and I hate it. I don't think it's right to use girls to inflate your ego, dwell on one of them with some bogus vague reason ("she gets me", "she's the one"), and some other crap that I'm noticing my friends start to believe.
I desire change, but I just don't know how to get on it. And I don't want girls to gloat to my friends or anything and I don't think this is the end-all solution to my problems, it's just an area of my life that I want to improve in and I'm willing to take advice.
So anyone feel like coaching and making someone's life a little better?
