Two kinds of attraction for women

Ok, so I was talking to this girl in a bar this weekend, and she said that guys fall into two categories of attractiveness.

There's the "I just want to fuck him" category and then there's the "potential boyfriend" category.

I'm pretty confused about this. Because for me, as a normal guy, either a woman has a certain level of beauty or she doesn't. There are no categories for me.

This girl went on to use guitar players in rock bands as a good example of the "I just want to fuck him" attraction. I know that's real because I have a friend who plays drums for a band that records albums and tours as an opening act for such names as Metalica and things like Ozfest. He says the women throw themselves at him after these shows, he once had sex with two women in the same night. Then, he comes back home to reality, where he runs a body shop, and women simply don't throw themselves at him. He's the same guy. The attraction from women is night and day.

Anybody got an explanation for this? I'm confused.

Men and women greatly differ in how attraction works for them. Simply speaking, men are binary. You're either hot or you're not. Very visual...all the non-visual stuff takes a lot longer to process and create attraction. Women on the other hand, work pretty much in the exact opposite way. Sure, women do have visual desires, but they are quickly pushed aside for more complex traits of the man. Your example of the mechanic by day, rock drummer by night shouldn't be that confusing. A rock band/rock show is a blatant over-the-top display of alpha mentality and behavior (even when they act slightly feminine...they are going against social norms and not giving a fuck about it.) He is essentially putting on a sex-driven show when he is drummer boy (I've been the drummer of a cover band and I know I put on a fucking show.) He is one person on stage, and another in his mechanic life. Now, if he were to dry hump cars, juggle heavy tools, and have no issue covering himself in motor oil on a daily basis at the shop, I bet he could get some weird type of sex appeal going on with hot slutty customers. On the flip side of that, he can get and attract women simply by having a steady job, being comfortable in his own skin, and all the other shit you know about that this community harps on...it just won't be AS instant.

This was kind of a jumbled explanation as I had to keep alt+tabbing to work and kept losing my train of thought...lemme know if some point doesn't make sense.

Which one is more of a threat to YOU!

The questions to ask are, out of the ones you perceive to be a threat, why? What is it about their eyes, body language, body positioning? Do they convey neediness when you obviously do not? Do they seem independent?

Just like what Smirks just said, many things fall into a category but ultimately comes down to whether or not the guy is a sexual threat. For all of societies faults against men, it has also given the "alpha" men an easier hand.

Women are taught to openly flaunt their sexuality, whereas men are taught it is bad. Do you think the men they just want to fuck give a shit about this mentality? Do you think they go around and say to themselves, "I shouldn't look at her like that.." "Man she's hot." No they don't.

Point: The guys they just want to fuck are the stronger men of society. The men that are boyfriend material is whats left after society has programmed them. Strong v. weak. Alpha v. Beta. Sexual threat v. puppy dog. Will bend you over anywhere v. will ask permission to bend you over.

Women can't deny what makes them sexually attracted, however a division in society created their division of Boyfriend v. random fuck.

BTW, there is a part in one of Neil Strauss' books where he talks about fucking an old lady. I can't remember which book, but he goes on to say something like, "When you reach a certain point, you don't know why you do it, but as a man, when you are presented with an opportunity to mate, it's evolution and you can't stop it, no matter how much you want to."

Guys they just want to fuck don't have any real attachment to anything other than what they themselves want. "Why do all the assholes get the girls?" Girls are attracted to the "assholes".

What exactly is the definition of asshole exactly? An asshole in this question is a guy who doesn't care about a particular girl, but was presented, by the girl mind you, a chance for sex. Who is he to pass up sex? Pfft, as far as he is concerned he was just on his daily grind not caring about his next fuck, (what is attractive to women) and BAM a woman wants to have sex... at least thats how he see's it. She sees it as a potential mate, and then she gets hurt and wah wah her pussy hurts..

That is exactly how I look at girls.

I see the ones I would take home and fuck on occasion.

Then (very rarely) I see a girl who I would actually date.

I spent pretty much the entire part of last year trying to mold myself into the guy they just want to fuck. There is no doubt that is how girls look at guys. I found myself always falling into the boyfriend category.

I also wanted to add, that there are 2 variations of the "just want to fuck guy"

There are 2 types of women that want the "just fuck" guy:

1: They just want to fuck, literally, because they themselves are very dominating and "masculine", they need an extremely aggressive male in their life, one that can dole it out on a level greater than them. These women are typically in a very professional career, and are in virtually every social circle known in the regions society. They strive on challenge, and want someone like them. They are typically OK with ONS or SNL because that's all they have time for since they are focusing more on their careers.

2: Are the women who tend to take more of a traditional role in relationships, and like the same qualities as the above girl, just on a different level. They are attracted to someone dominant but it doesn't take much for this girl. She likes the piercing eyes, the stand offish non needy body language, but she has this infatuation with making this guy her boyfriend. These are the girls who always complain, "Are all guys ass holes??" They aren't attracted to lesser "nice" guys, and the only guys they'll take are the ones who have no desire to "settle down."

Then... not even in the picture, you have the ones that just want dick... >6's and such, sometimes 7's.

Clothing is as important as the tribe the girl belongs too. It helps identify the tribe you belong too. Hence:

Dress like a member of the tribe that she would like to fuck.

It not only goes by looks though, it can also go by words, and what is said.

I've never paid attention, but just looking at my own trail, so to speak, "Are all guys ass holes??" is only gonna come from the women who weren't that attractive.

The better looking women I've pursued, they're not gonna have me in the ass-hole category.

I bet if you study this and pay attention, you'd find that really hot women don't complain about the "ass-hole" guy. I bet it's a more common complaint with the older/uglier women.
