PUUUAs...
Its de-lurk time - I log on daily of course guys... too easy with multiple computers that are rarely rebooted, to just refresh the page - hopefully I haven't frightened anyone seeing my name over there on the sidebar, with the low post count and rare but insightful comments - but if I have - boo! Here I am!
And well, the 3-5 guys I like to wing with when Im in field more (ya'll know who you are) - some post here a bit, others not at all but they know where to find me
I check the site for new developments in the community locally and to help track local nightspot openings/closings, so the group sarge is a real rarity for me. I do lair events sometimes though, but usually my weekly break down is 1-2 nights with someone I wing with regularly, 1-2 solo, anything else is social circle building. Of course it doesn't mean I don't influence the local lair/PUA community (actually I run into many new guys and old guys in field regularly)
My complaint of things lately (this may or may not be the crux of recent developments) - like El Fenix (frequent voice of reason in threads lately) said above about the Austin and Miami lairs - lairs are difficult enough to run without any admission requirements
Those who say this might discourage new guys even more - maybe it should - looking back I too (like some other poster above) was crapping cinderblocks at the thought of meeting dudes from the internet to help me improve with women
Especially since I think with the popularity of the show, the vibe given off by some newer guys Ive met (not neccessarily from this board) is of "So you're one of those guys right? What can it do for me?" The frame being that "Ya'll are weird, that fucker wears eye shadow and goggles, Im doing you a favor by having a beer with you"
So something (a field report or two, annual dues, lame lame, I know) might be a good requirement for entry to the inner circle. Also for basic membership just deleting any accounts that haven't posted or attended an event within say 90 days of joining
I like # 5 on the list Vector (guys still rarely check resources like that, but mocking them a little might help - DAFS (Do A Fucking Search) is what the Attraction Forum mods say). Answering the same questions every 2 months got old back when I posted more. Seriously, ban the next dude who asks for day 2 advice on his 5th post to make an example out of him.
Mainly I think with the aim of making the group as inclusive as possible, the focus has deviated from actual pick up/relationship methods quite a bit to all manner of goofy squabling. Once again as mentioned above, make the barrier to entry to something too low - it is appreciated less
Ive said enough, back to the blind

First off, I have absolutely no idea who you are. You're getting a response to this because I have a couple gin and tonics in my system currently. I actually had to click on your name to see if you've even posted anything relevant before...and I'll be blunt...you really haven't (aside from this post.) I'm not sure what rare yet insightful comments you're referring to, but your post history doesn't have it.
I'd like to state that I think it's bad ass that you have 3-5 guys you LOVE to wing with...that's a rarity...but the fact that you evidently consider yourself to be a part of this lair...would indicate that you should have enough respect for this lair to actually make yourself known to 95% of the active members by showing up to a scheduled twice a month meeting (even if it's just for the meet-n-greet at the beginning.) Again, that's just my thinking. I wouldn't expect anyone here to care what I have to say if I wasn't active and/or known.
That being said, you basically agree to most of what is said here...so does that indicate a possible change in your behavior with the lair? Does that mean that, if put to the test, these guide lines would be enough to coerce you in to a meeting?

I know Kraven from my Dallas Meetup days. Kraven: have you ever used my bad ass, gay guy hits on me in the bathroom story? It's gotten me laid more than once ;)
Anyway, Kraven seems to be a guy with some good knowledge that's been doing his own thing lately. Obviously, Kraven, we're thinking about putting these action items in place for two reasons: 1) to high grade our stable of PUAs, barriers, however small weed out the weak 2) to encourage guys, like yourself, that would provide value to our community to become more active.
