A few changes, please read, please comment

i like the ideas...

i think that by "forcing" some guys to come to a few meet-ups a year will minimize the number of KJ's...or at least gives us an idea of all the guys who talk the talk but dont walk the walk, in which case, we can ignore their posts...by weeding out the "weak" we also create a lair taht we can be proud of. it will minimize the chance of letting in a douchebag taht will give our lair a bad name...

by putting restrictions on the lair, we will also create a lair of PUA worthy guys, or guys eager enough to learn. if you want to bcome a PUA that bad, you'll come out to the meet ups and learn. if you feel this is not for you, well, most will eventually fade away. it took me 4 months to come out to my first meetup, now im at every single one of them...and i garuntee you i will become a much better PUA because of it..

does taht mean that you have to come to the meet-ups to get good? NO! of course not. i understand that theres a large group of guys in this lair that sarges alone or with 1-2 guys. they choose to avoid the meet-ups, and i respect that. people have their own style...

Vector is right...there shouldnt be a time expiration, but i think the mods should get together every once in a while and evaluate the lounge list and see who is still active or not...most guys ive met i have not seen again..

Let me ask this question then, what's the point of being a part of a community/board that you're...not a part of? There are 24+ community events throughout a give year. Are you telling me that ANYONE remotely associated with this board is too damn important to show up at least once? This could even be showing up to the 1 hour we spend at Cabana just to sign the damn list and have your face seen. I find that hard to believe. I've got plenty of shit to do w/ 2 jobs and a side business and my own scene in Fort Worth/Denton...but I make time to go to Dallas and stuff to be A PART of this community. Seems to me that those members are just using the forum as something to occupy their time while on lunch at work or something...and the thing is some names might be known for a while, but once you get so many newbies in here...and if this goes as plan, these will be newbies who are shaping up to be worth a damn...these phantom members will be about as worthwhile as a Westfall post.

What about people who moved out of Dallas area? Many of you guys have met me and sarged with me, but I moved to San Antonio. I can only come up during summer and holidays. And when I am in town I do hang out with guys from this lair.

If you come during holidays and summer, there are multiple holidays in a year and one summer...I think that'd be just peachy sir.

Thanks guys, I appreaciate the love :) Vector I support you on this decision. I have dealt with too many negative people here in SA and I refuse to do so again. Do whatever is necessary to keep this lair as professional as possible.

i agree they should make an effort to come out and be a part of this community, but like unclehowie (and a several other guys), ive been active for nearly 4 months and have never seen him out at an event...but i would say that his posts adds value to the community....

Some good ideas. I guess the only thing I could think of is what about the under 21 guys. We only go to 21+ venues on the meetup. I suppose they could come out to cabanna just to meet the guys though before hand. Also, what if you guys had a meet up like once a month for the under 21 guys? Like maybe one thursday a month you guys roll up to purgatory or something?

I also like the idea of making off topic lounge only, makes it so some random person can't just sign up and see your posts.

Here is what we should do.

Get rid of the FT Worth meet up.

Instead on that week have a 18+ meet up. So we can still meet somewhere for an hour and discuss. Then go to Whatever 18 venue there is. I am not sure which ones but we can figure them out. That way all the older guys make it as well and can hopefully help the younger guys.

I like the Fort Worth meet up. Make it every other month or something maybe, but not ditch it completely. I don't like ALWAYS having to drive to Dallas...it's nice once in a while to stay on your own side of town...which is why you don't like the FT Worth meet up to begin with.
