It's all about being able to convey my personality without being forced to use stories, routines, openers, etc.

I've rolled up to girls before wearing torn jeans, my patented mewlry, a scarf, and boots with bandannas.

AND

I've rolled up to a girls before wearing a button down shirt, dress pants, and the same aforementioned boots (sans bandannas).

In each case I pulled, but the latter case required more time and effort because I had to figure out a different way of communicating how unique I am to the target. In the former case I relied on my clothes to subcommunicate my personality, whereas in the latter case I had to find a different way to communicate my personality (i.e. stories, routines, etc).

Some might consider it a crutch, I just think it's an advantage. So, when I'm not dressed in my normal unique fashion, then I virtually always second guess my approaches. Usually, I have to ask myself the question: 'Do I really want to go through the extra effort for this girl?' Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes no.

I've got that beat.

I once pulled (k close/n close) a girl I approached wearing a button-up bright orange shirt, red abercrombie sweat pants, fuzzy blue socks, nice dress shoes, and a black & white belt with the silouttee of a girl on it.........and a sparkly white fedora.

As BR noted, it takes more effort if you are dressed in a way that you don't already have some of the work taken care of for you--subcommunicated to her by your outfit....

BUT, after I opened that set, and had the girl into me, a hotter girl walked by and was checking me out without even trying to hide it. She was super attracted. But in her case, I already had mad social proof from the girl I was talking to.

If you have enough confidence, and are congruent, you can pull off ANY outfit. It's all about having the right frame. I'll bring my fedora & belt for sure. They wouldnt let me in the clubs wearing sweat pants.

While it is good to dress unique or peacock, it gets to a point where you become a dancing monkey. Sure, girls will look at you and talk to you, but they aren't attracted and it won't go any further than that. Kind of like being cocky n funny minus the cocky, you are just entertainment.

I totally agree.

There HAS to be some level of calibration to peacocking. The truth is that you really only need a handful of small tweeks to successfully peacock.

Then again, the world is full of stories of [b]BULL[/b]s [b]RUN[/b]ning into bars with stuffed Clifford dogs under their arm that they pawn off as their companion. Then, eventually, fucked closed a chick that opened him from the other side of the bar.

These are one-time events and not the norm though.

Fear is weird with me, it comes and goes as it pleases. That girl is hot, but she looks anorexic.. hmmm apparently actresses have problems too go figure. While I believe every girl is equal to me it still takes courage to take that first step towards her. Courage that like the fear.. comes and goes. I know I would approach a girl if I really wanted her. For me the problem is wanting her bad enough to take that first step. To step past the static force of fear, to take what I want, to give her what I know she wants, to give her time of her life, to have to time of mine, and to always remember how great life is... funny I don't feel so fearful at all right now.
