Names

Postby TheAwakened » Mon Apr 30, 2007 3:07 pm

I've been meeting a lot of girls lately. Sometimes I remember their names, sometimes I don't. This has lead me to wonder whether it's better to let them know that you remembered their name, or to act like you forgot even if you actually didn't.

On the one hand, remembering a girl's name might help with building rapport, but on the other, it might make you seem overly interested.

Obviously if you spent 30 minutes talking to someone, you should remember their name (and probably get their phone number too, but I'm still working on that), but what if you talked to them for 5-10 minutes before they had to leave, and you run into them again a few days later?

for my i only remember names, and for that matter, any information if and only if they are important to me. if i dont remember something, it doesnt mean its hard to remember to i dont have time, it means its not important.

with that said, names are psychologically proven to bring people closer. if you say the girls name or she says your name correctly it definitely builds comfort. i haven't heard of saying names show too much interest unless you say it in a weird way.

I intentionally let girls know that i forgot their name, even if i didn't. It shows that they are going to have to work hard to stand out in my mind. It doesnt matter whether i forgot their name or not. Cuz in my reality i can forget a girls names and they still want me because of obvious reasons.

Usually i give girls nicknames anyways. Or just straight up give them numbers. When a girls ask me why shes "Number 3" i tell her that number 1 and 2 are way better kissers. Also i call girls by the days of the week such as "Tuesday" and when a girl ask why she cant be saturday i tell her its because "Saturday" gives me massages.
Some other nicknames i give girls are "tubby" "smelly" "porkchop" etc. Of course i say these in a playful manner that always gets a slap in the arms. My girls tend to call them selves by the nicknames i give them. For instance, right now i have a text on my phone that is signed at the bottom " Love, -Saturday".

Its a game. Have fun with it guys.

I would go with just using a nickname. I think using a nickname actually builds more rapport with the girl then using her real name and show you are comfortable being around her. Pluse at lest for me they are easy to remember.
