do you guys buy into nlp as a quality technique?
if so does it not counter the reactiveness (or lack there of) theory

nlp and hypnosis seduction shit seems like freaky deaky stuff to me. Even if it worked I wouldn't use it, and by most reliable accounts I've heard it doesn't work.

I think it does work. Even basic things like anchoring come from nlp, and we know those do work, so there is at least some sort of validity to it.

Generally speaking, NLP is the use of words and sentence construction to influence an individual's decisions and perceptions.

People can easily be transfixed and hypnotized through the use of speech. And, we conveniently have a term for those that hypnotize others through word usage, sentence construction, and sound bites: demagogues. Learn the language of demagogues and you can influence people.

The gullible and those that don't think for themselves (read lemmings) tend to be the ones most susceptible to NLP and demagogues.
