What's in a Name?

There's something interesting I've noticed in the Community and that's how fitting a lot guys' handles are given their style and personality.

Not only that, but I've noticed a correlation between a PUAs identity, and how well their handle fits them, and their skill level.

I could rattle off a list of guys that fit their handles:

-Smirks
-PicturePerfect
-TogDog
-Finesse
-Lion
-playercool
-Vector

If you meet any of these guys and talk to them for more than 5 minutes, you walk away thinking to yourself how fitting their name is to their personality, their style, and their Game.

I know it doesn't seem like someone's handle could have any impact on a guys growth as a PUA. I agree, sort of.

My theory is that when we're first signing up on the boards, first entering the Community, we give thought for a cool name. Something that fits us, something that will be representative of our personality, something that will complement who we are, OR more accurately, what we strive to become.

I know it seems silly, but I really do think it's uber important to have a handle that makes a statement about you, what you stand for, and who you want to become. It's almost as if it's a constant reminder of what you're striving to turn yourself into.

In many ways, entering the Community is a new start. Why not kick off your new beginning with a handle that has some true meaning? Something that you're proud of, something that leaves an impression. Entire subsets of people are going to know you as Bull Run...it's your brand name. Create own that you can wear with pride.

I would agree with you. Without getting to New Age-y I think there is something to it, albeit hard to quantify.

dint make the list, lol! either way I picked my name for that reason. the new rising from the ashes of the old, change. rebirth. I'm not there yet, but many miles have I come.
