Usually when a chick blows you off, she's never going to answer your call again.
I'd be curious to see if you ever talk to a girl again that blew you off.
Usually when you close a chick and find out when she was attracted, when she wanted sex, whatever. In my experience it's not so much an interview where I ask them these questions, girls just sort of tell you.

It seems I only blow it with the 20-somethings. I'm 39. I can pretty much do anything with the women in my age group and they love me. It's the women of beauty, the 20-somethings, that I consistently get blown out with. I don't get many chances with the 20-somethings and so far, I've fucked up every opportunity except for 2, both of whom were too fat for me.
Maybe the two that I'm hung up on weren't necessarily blowing me off but perhaps they were testing on some level for confidence. One sent a text last summer saying "I'm just not ready for a relationship right now" and another sent a text a few weeks ago saying "I'm not right for you". Those are definitely ways of saying they're not attracted anymore...at least that's how I interpret it...with both of these women, I have NO CLUE how I blew it. But once I got those text messages, I stopped pursuing them immediately. My ego just doesn't deal with rejection and I don't wanna be some chick's ego boost any more than I already have.
I am certain that with both of these women, they would talk to me on the phone again. I'm sure they'd tell me how I blew if I had the stones to ask them.
I just feel like such a loser calling them to ask how I blew it, but at the same time, I'm probably gonna keep making the same mistakes over and over. I honestly don't know if I was too much player or if I was too much available/needy/clingy. I have NO CLUE. Aside from too much creepy, which I'm not (I don't think), it's gotta be one of those two errors...too much player or too much available/needy/clingy...doesn't it? Is there another category of blowing it that I'm not aware of?

Dude, this is actually a pretty cool idea. Call them up, be real cool, say (and mean it) "look, I'm never going to call you again, but I am really curious: when did I blow it?"
Although I've never tried it, I think it would be better to ask when rather than how or why, that way you can match it up to your own timeline of how the relationship went. I think you may get some pretty uncomfortable answers but if you can handle that there might be some gems hidden in it.
I mean, sure, you'll feel like a complete loser and she might think you're just asking like a creepy clingy weirdo who wants to get back into her pants, but who cares. If you think you'll learn something about yourself that you couldn't otherwise, go for it.

Too much of a player? Haha yeah right women love that. Now they don't want you running around on them but they will like the fact that their man is attractive to the opposite sex. This makes them feel good that they are with you.
I have a feeling it is the latter reason. You were too clingy/needy/available.
Just look back on the interactions that failed. It should be easy to sum up in each of those relationships how you acted.
A much better question to ask...
Why do you still have their numbers? You should have deleted them and moved on long ago. You are dwelling way too much.

I keep women in the directory if I slept with them more than 3 times. I sent them all a "Happy Christmas" text message Christmas morning and all of them replied promptly without any of the "who is this?" bullshit. A few of them are wanting to see me again, contacting me through Facebook and stuff. It's good for times like this when I'm in a rut. I'm a needy bastard!

ive checked back in with one girl. turned out to end for a simple sentence, 'i feel half accomplished, but half cursed...feel like Im paying for the guy who fucked up before me.'

Guys, I'm just not sure this is really a healthy exercise.
Sure, in *theory* it sounds good. But, in practice you're actually listening to the feedback from those that didn't like you. Why would you even consider the opinion someone that doesn't like you holds of you?
Also, keep in mind that a lot of people, read almost all people, are not nearly as sincere and truthful as the guys in the Community (face it, we tell it like it is for the most part even if it might hurt someone's feelings). Women aren't going to really give you any kind of substantive answer. It'll be highly generic and probably pretty useless.
Now, having said that, there ARE women that will tell you where a relationship went wrong. And, I make a point to talk to them about why things worked out they way they did after things have ended. But, there's a certain emotional investment there and a willingness, for both parties, to discuss the past.
The fact is that most girls that you only nailed a few times and then blew you off probably wouldn't give you proper feedback.
I think about all the chicks that I've ditched or that have ditched me and I can probably tell you with almost 100% certainty what they think of me. And, you know what? I don't really care. Because, I know that the next chick would treasure that which they didn't understand or value or whatever.
I wouldn't worry about the opinions of those that don't want to be around you, just work hard on being the person you want and be mindful that sometimes being that person might require that you have to spend more time and energy finding those that will treasure you as much as you do.
Oh yeah, PC. I've kept EVERY single number from EVERY single girl I've ever had sex with (assuming of course I have the number, you'd be surprised how many I never got). It's nice to browse through my phone directory and smile at all of the tail from days past. I swear to God I'd forget a good 20% of them if I didn't have a visual reminder of their presence in my life...even if it was for just one night!!!

The thing about the 20-something women, is, I honestly believe the younger guys in their 20's have just as many problems with them as we are having. I know I did when I was a 20-something.

The vast majority of my really good friends are married and of my friends who are single, they're either getting married or moving to follow a paycheck and as if that wasn't bad enough, they just have NOTHING in terms of sexual attraction to 20-something women to begin with.
I saw two guys at Fox & Hound the other night pull a stunt I thought was awesome, but I'd need someone over 30 to run with who is at least making an effort to be more sexually attractive to the opposite sex and at least understands the concepts of the nice guy.
