Progression and Regression

Postby Guest » Fri Jan 09, 2009 5:18 pm

I'm regressing.

A few months ago, I was real gung-ho about sarging and implemented a weekly schedule where I would do day game 7 days a week and night game 3 days a week. I improved real fast, my confidence skyrocketed, and my balls grew pretty big. I was steadily expanding my comfort zone and hardly a week went by without me improving in some aspect of PU.

Then I got sick. Didn't sarge for 2 weeks because I was throwing up and shit. And then I lost my phone, so I lost all of the girls who I sarged and couldn't get in touch with wings. Then I lost momentum and motivation and instead applied my full energies towards work, which is readily paying off but in a way that gets me paid... not laid.

So I went to Purgatory last night. Dude, I was pretty terrible. I was NOT in the zone, opened like 4 sets and got blown out on 3 of them. I wasn't feeling it. Also there were so many eligible sets that I simply passed by due to fear and renewed approach anxiety. Come on! A month ago I barely had any approach anxiety anymore! A measly month can do that to you?

Hopefully this will get better. In any case I'm reapplying my full focus towards sarging again and will probably be going out almost every day for either day or night game. Part of the reason for this post is to keep me accountable.

If you want to join me and you can actually approach, let me know! Damn, change ain't easy huh?

Solid. Same for me in regards to the gym. I lost 10lbs since I quit going. By product of fucking a lot and being on the go.

I think we all prob go through these.
I also think its the acknowledgment of and frustration from them that we learn and progress from.

Anyway, I keep saying that I want to hit Purg at some point (never been), but still haven't.

Hit me up next time you kids go...bout time I check it out.

ya, I just went through a regression stage. Haven't done shit in like 3 weeks or so. Went through a rough patch, lost all my prospects, it sucked. Kinda got bit by one-itis too. But I'm finally recovering and gotta try to get back into things. I feel like I took two steps backwards.

I can totally relate.. I feel like I am starting all over again also. I'm just taking my time and not stressing over it.. All it takes is one good nite and you'll be back on top..

ever since I've been out for those 6? months, I've been trying to get back to the level from when I first started it's like my first night out, my success lvl was maybe a 3 and since I started back it's been like 1. It's just so hard to get into a groove when I have to go out Lone Ranger...it's like all the guys who live in Tarrant run off to Dallas now (major suckage)

it can be hard sometimes to get back in the groove of things but couple of nights in the field should get you back to your previous level. As far as purgatory goes, i really do not like the place, me and Taj went there and iti was horrible. Receptivity was really close to 3. People were miserable and I almost got jumped by 4 guys for talking to their female friends. I would avoid that place like the plague.

Haha it's about the only night game I can do. Maybe that's why I'm finding it so hard at this point. I eagerly await the day I can tear up the bars.

Thus is life, though. It's all a cycle or some shit. Cheers to the ones who finally come back out on top.

Well you have to be smart about it. For example, like i said me and Taj went out to Purgatory and we were miserable there. Most of the crowd was extremely antisocial. Then we switched venues and we went to Social House and that place became one of my favourites in Dallas right away: it was cheap, had awesome, super friendly people in it and I almost pulled from there. And Taj got a number. I mean, I know that you think that you should be able to walk in any bar and pick up any girl, well that is ego. Trust me I am the same way. But living in San Antonio( way more ghetto than Dallas), I learned that there are places worth going to and then there are places that I will not even think of setting my foot in. It is what it is man. I even drive to Austin 4 times a month to get away from ghetto- and Purgatory is pretty ghetto. That and working on you ability to get in the zone also is useful.
