As I am sitting here trying to figure out how to get outta the rut that i am in....Im starting to notice that the one of my real problems are the friends i have now that im goin out with when i do go out.
so my question to the pick up artists that can honestly call themselves legit PUAs is.....Did it take being around other puas to help push you out of your funk...or were u able to get through it by yourself?

Let me give you some advice Gunner. The problem is never your friends. The problem is always yourself. It isn't their fault for being who they are, it's your fault for associating with them.
Sure being around other PUA's helps but it isn't the end all be-all. When I go out with my non community friends I can fucking kill a room because I have no competition. So in a sense it's better to not go out with PUA's. One thing I have noticed about community guys is that they flock, like vultures, to one or two girls. If one successfully opens her, you can bet she will be opened by all the PUA's in the group.
I learned a lot by going out with other pua's, but not even close to as much as I learned by myself.
Quit being a pussy and stop giving a shit what anybody else thinks - especially these bar hounds we call hot babes.
Just go out. By yourself if you have to. Come to a meetup - if only to find a wing you can go out with. I promise, you don't want to sarge with a big group of guys.

yea im not to concerned about going out with the community guys in big groups..i just wanna see some pick up first hand just so i can see how some of the stuff is done...and yea it does come to me to stop being a pussy about these things..and its not just about Pickup..its about all aspects of my life...just like Kate Williams said..I need to start caring about how my star playa..and thats me

We all have stages, man. I mean I am still in a circle of friends that separate and worse than the PUA crowd. They drag me down. They don't have any dreams of success, all they want to do is play games or like roll around on the ground, its all the same.
Basically, what you are experiencing now is one of the first stages of being a PUA. PUA has trained you to live an attractive lifestyle, which is hampered by the negative friends you have. You didn't know they were negative before so they were cool to chill with. But now, you know how to identify what's negative, so you found that negativity.
I say you can always make it by yourself with enough will power, but just having a friend is so much easier. Instead of everyday having to tell yourself that your reflection is cool, someone else actually says it. Just keep up the hard work man, your are definetly in the for the long haul, but I promise you that you have the power to work through it! You are an army of one! haha

It's not a popular method, but the only way to really get good is to pick yourself up by the boot straps and do it on your own.
Being around other PUAs isn't going to help you one bit, if for the basic reason that you truly don't speak their language. But for the practical reason that you have way too competition. Re-read Lion's post about sarging in groups with other 'PUAs.' Despite of the fact that we think we have some sort of answer, that we're truly different from AFCS, when we're in a group with other PUAs we become AFCs because we lose that certain level of differentiation. That certain edge. And, yes, once a girl gets opened everyone comes out of the woodwork to 'run game.' I've always tried to turn my back and walk away once I know a chick has been opend by a fellow PUA. I wish the same was true for everyone in the Community. (NOTE: FOR YOU NEWBIES OUT THERE...IF YOU SEE ME IN SET, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME. I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP, ALL YOU'RE DOING IS USING MY ABILITY TO OPEN AS YOUR OPENER. GET YOUR OWN PUSSY).
There is a very definitive line between success and failure, at this and anything else. The line is what do you do on your own? How do you act when no one else but you is watching? Your actions during these moments define you as a man, as a PUA.
Being around good company helps, but truth be told it's just a crutch. If you can't do it on your own, without the pressures of your buddies watching, then how can you ever expect to do it when you are the center of attention? The Community has eyes my friends, and they're always watching you.
The only thing you have in this world is you. That's it. Keep that in mind. You, and no one else, defines your success and your failures. You, and no one else, defines how you see the world. You, and no one else, defines your ability to grow.
You have the answers. But, you don't really want to ask yourself the questions.
