A couple of friends of mine read it.
They told me about it, and showed me dallaspua.
I didn't believe them, and made fun of them alot for thinking this stuff was real and trying to do it.

I started reading the old forum out of curiosity...but also looking for stuff to make fun of them with....and eventually came across PC's blog. I saw that it had a good 3 or 4 months of posts.....and so I started to wonder how someone could be so dedicated to making crap up for so long.

I continued to make fun of them for trying the stuff (neither of them ever actually joined the lair or anything)....but after the dallaslair switchover, I saw that there where alot of people active and participating. So I started actually reading alot of stuff (and trying some of it out under the radar when I went out with friends) before deciding I'd come out to one of the meetups and prove to myself that it was all just hyped bullshit.

Came out and met a few of the guys...and saw the potential that night. I wasn't completely convinced...but I was enough to meet up with Smirks a few weeks later in Denton to watch him do his thing and give it a try for myself again. From there I was hooked (or maybe just attracted to that manly bald head of his) so I stuck with it.
Took me a few weeks before I actually admitted to my buddies that I was into the whole thing.


Anyway, that's how I got into the game.
