I hate to always go back to the same points but the most important things to calibrate are the things which move you through the process correctly. 50,000 foot view I calibrate for comfort with the group/target first, then calibrate for attraction. If you do the first two well enough the girl will usually help along with the rest, kind of make it a "team effort". Calibration in late stages is more just going with the flow. It gets even more counterintuative to the advice out there but thats the deal. (note - this is for bar/club cold pickup game. Also sometimes you have to neg a lot with hot stupid bitches but I don't like those ones anyway - perfer the cool chicks myself even if 7-9).

Some things which come to mind re. calibration in comfort which I think are important.

1. Finding (cool) things in common with popular member(s) of the group.
2. Being absolutely unreactive to negative energy at all times. If someone else is bringing negative you deal with it and make the situation fun again (within reason).
3. Being absolutely unreactive to the women's physical appearance. NB. Unreactive does not mean under-apreciative.
4. Finding out important personal details about target girls quickly. Knowing good questions, threads of conversaion which lead to stories of personal interest to them. Then close the loop and connect it back to you.
5. Good solid kino at all times. Escalation ladder. Allow the girl to touch and reward her.
6. Continuing at all times to keep your external radar engaged and using other groups as props where appropriate.
7. Shots, drinks and their social protocols.
8. Knowing what certain girls like/dislike usually. Pointing out guys/girls they would like/dislike. Good neg for hot girl is "i'll set you up with him.." to a guy who only a cool guy would know she wouldn't like.
9. Being willing to leave and come back. Knowing how to deal with "apart time" correctly.

.. you guys get the point. We could go on all night and have 1000 points here. The trick is to bring them all together and use the important ones based on what the girl needs. That is the experince you have gained from all the sets, girls, etc.. I guess you could say a PUA is cheating but he sure as shit has to put in his time.

For attraction there is a ton of material out there. My personal deal is to find the girl's schedule and subtly let her know what she needs to do to make something happen. My push/pull isn't creepy at all either (unlike some people I have seen). I don't do elaborate "I hate you" kind of shit or read palms or try to hypnotize her. Its more like just turning BL away is all thats needed. BL is most of calibration from attraction onwards.

The stupid reality is that there are a ton of chicks out there looking to get down any given evening. If you find the right venue and know how to screen/calibrate etc. you don't really have to work that hard. I'm a lazy motherfucker.

Looking at all of this i find weaker points in my game.
1) analyzing body language and displays of my own. more at an advanced stage. i know what I do works but you guys have pointed out things i am not conscious of. Body language is a significant substitution for words.
2) rewarding for things as minor as kino on her behalf
3) breaking state to engage other sets as a screen for her
4) plowing through her negativity. not on a basic plowing plane but if the girl is negative in general(which i usually ignore) reframing her mind and setting her straight.

Welsh should make it a point not to remain so distant from the communtiy. British bastard. Thats bollucks! ;)
