Does anyone know anything about pianos?

Sometime in the future I would like to purchase a baby grand with a built in player(the kind that moves the keys).

Give me some advice on what I should look for.

well i was in the market for a baby grand a few years ago myself, and after looking around and playing many in what was my reasonable price range, i realized they sounded like crap and it would be a serious investment in flow that i do NOT(edit!) have at this point.

That said, i don't know alot about the tech specs, but can lend an ear if you like

I would prefer new but if a good deal presents itself and it is a clean piano I would jump on a used one.

You would think someone who dropped a decent chunk on a baby grand would take good condition of it. I just don't know for sure. Also those players are so much money(5-7k). It would be awesome to find a used one with that already in place and get a smoking deal. Maybe 5% or less of the pianos for sell have them.

I am starting to lean towards a mohagany piano instead of the traditional black. They are crazy pimp looking. I also like that they are rarer. I think it will fit in the decor of my house a lot better as well considering my front doors are Mahogony and most of the colors lean towards that color.

Lol

Yeah I was up there over the weekend.

All the salesman were busy. Some old dude comes up to me and starts talking to me. He was the owner. I chatted with him about business for 15 minutes or so. His story was awesome. I love talking about business.

The owner could easily sell that business and make some extra bank. He is choosing to just close the doors as he doesn't want any chance the name will be tainted. I guess he is rich enough he doesn't need anymore.

From what I gather he owns the building and land outright. He is leasing the location to someone that he said will allow him to live very well for the rest of his life.

I still don't know if his prices are actually good or not. I would love to go back in a month and see if the prices are any lower. He has until the end of the year to sell everything.
