I would put it this way, it's insecure BEHAVIORS that are the underlying cause of these problems in almost all cases, in my opinion, when we're talking about a loss of attraction. I wouldn't peg some people as secure and others as insecure, because it's never all or none.

Attraction is NOT a rational process, it's a knee-jerk reaction. As you're attracted to a nice rack, a woman is attracted to a confident personality. As someone said, attraction is not a choice.

But confidence is something nobody has 100% of the time.

Yep. A confident person never questions why someone (that they think has more value) is with them. As a matter of fact, I would state that truly confident people strive to surround themselves with people that help to raise their value by making them a truly better person. In other words, a confident person chooses to hang out with other confident, high value people because their value helps you to raise your value (not your perceived value but your true value).
