I thought the same thing. Using the jargon was bad and easy to make fun of.

Anyone who has done any public speaking at all knows that you should speak to the lowest common denominator. In this case, it was the TV viewers who know nothing about the PU community.
Mystery had an opportunity to do some good for the community - stage the book as a tool for those who need help with basic dating skills and are looking to improve themselves.

Overall, I thought Mystery did a good job of holding his own against Conan but I don't think he promoted the book or the community well. Conan was being funny as he is paid to do and PU is an easy target for Conan to get some laughs. I actually laughed at the goggles joke as it WAS funny.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a Mystery hater. In fact, I have seen some videos of him out and about and he juggles so many complex PU tactics at once it is pretty amazing. It was astonishing and admirable the way he pushed through several shit tests in one video I saw. However, I don't think he came across all that well on Conan. Not that I could do any better on national TV.....
