To call or to text?????

The general rule is obviously to text first after number closing, but is there a situation where it would be better to just call? Any of you guys ever just call?

i always had to call when I didn't have text plan. What i learned from that is, you can just call her if you have done a great job in the set. If you have earned her trust and comforted her enough, and tell her you're going to call her at SPECIFIC day/time, and you call at that time on a day, she WILL pick up the phone. But usually chicks don't pick up phones that they don't know the who the number belongs to.

I prefer the phone, really depends on your personality style and what kind of game you run. Def the phone for me.

When you are number closing ask: Should I call or text?

When you are number closing do: Text her right there in front of her. I almost always text: Hey Sexy! That way she has your number. I have never had a girl give a bad reaction out of that. Hey Dork! would also be a really good text right there...maybe even better.

Gotta agree with Grimm. I almost alway use Text. Even if a girl says call I will just pretty much text anyways.

If you are awesome at talking then I would say call. You can just build it back up way quicker via talking. So just do what you feel most comfortable with.

I have heard on occasion where (a shit load of girls) prefer you to call them if you are going to ask them out. I always just ask over text and it works just fine...so who knows.

Thanks for the feedback guys. PC, I particularly like your suggestion of just asking if you should call or text...that seems so obvious, but its a great suggestion. I typically call the chick immediately after getting her number so she'll have mine, but I agree, sending a funny text right then is much better...especially If she doesn't save your name in her phone.

One thing that's frustrating as hell are the damn flakes after number closing. It's so frustrating when you feel like you've done everything right during the initial interaction and the chick ends up flaking out when you first try to contact her. The seemingly obvious solution to this is to build more comfort and connection when working the set, but still, sometimes that just isn't enough. What do you guys think about this?

Listen man you are new to the game so I will make this real easy for you.

You are going to get a shit load of numbers. I know this because you go out a lot. You seem like a pretty decent guy. I see good things for you.

You are going to DELETE a shit load of numbers. I know this because this is just how it goes. No matter how awesome you are this will happen. Get used to it. You will run into so many flakes it will blow your mind.

I will leave you with this...As you get better the flakage will decrease but it will never go away. It's just part of the game.

Exactly like PC said. The other thing that will happen is that you will start to get a really good feel for which ones will flake and which ones will be solid.

Sometimes I get numbers that I don't even bother to call because I know I didn't connect enough for it to be solid. She was way too ADD, she was really drunk, something I don't know quite what it is but you can just sense it. Other times I get numbers and there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that they are solid, and these almost always are.

With those numbers you can call, text, whatever whenever and they're pretty much solid no matter what. I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to make sure the girl has my number even if I have hers (which is just sloppy PUA-manship. PC's method there is money, I'm going to rob it), and after a couple texts if she doesn't answer the phone we're having coffee or something.

I've noticed with a few of the cougars(35y/o and up) I've dated, that they aren't as into texting as the younger girls are. So definitely make sure to ask the cougars what they prefer.

Otherwise I recommend doing what you are best at!

In regards to flaking after number closing..........I had a girl 4 weeks ago that I number closed and texted a few days later. She didn't show me as much interests over text as she did in person when we first met so I let her go. I saw her again the other night and called her out on it. She told me she liked "being chased" and gave me her # again. So maybe I ejected too early or she's full of shit, who knows. I haven't contacted her again. These girls do like to be pursued!

You hit it on the head! PC and Grimm are right about the fact that flakes will always be there and honestly they usually don't bother me much anymore. But every now and then I get a number I think is solid gold and I like the girl but it never turns into anything. Most often these girls will respond to texts but I just never get them out. They or I am busy and then the attraction wears off. It can truly be dissappointing but I have never not gotten over disappoint from relationships/pick ups or anything to do with girls. How? The next hot piece of ass makes you forget all about them!
