LTR

Postby Guest » Mon Jul 28, 2008 11:53 pm

So I have taken a break from sarging because I entered into an LTR. The reason why is that I had never really experienced one, and I wanted to try it out and see what it's like. I think everyone should experience one as it'll make you a well rounded person, and you'll be able to relate to hummanity at large. I intend for this to last a full year. It's only been a few months so far. In the beginning cheating was a problem but I am totally manogamous right now. Alas, I think some of my skills are getting a bit rusty. Any tips on how to keep them sharp without actually cheating on the girl? Also, when the time comes what would be the least messiest way to end the relationship?

I agree with finesse, but he's 10x better at being cool with people whereas I am plainly an asshole who can't hold back his feelings and i'm about to live up to that rep.

i feel obligated to answer this post because not long ago, i gave some teenage kid advice to get into an LTR to experience what that was like because he had real feelings for some girl and i think he got the impression from us on this board that it was not cool to be serious with just one girl.

Well fuzz dude, i'm not trying to put you on the spot because maybe you're a really cool guy, but here's my opinion.

this post makes me not want to write on these boards anymore or be involved with this community too much.

It's wrong to mislead a girl that you're gonna be in a serious LTR if you KNOW that you're gonna break up with her and you don't really like her. Everything about this post tells me that you're manipulating and lying to this girl and that is wrong, sir. You don't need to do that to be with girls.

And if I'm in any way responsible for this then I'm done with this forum because I won't have that on my shoulders.

I agree with Grimm. This is supposed to be about becoming a better man...which shouldn't involve lying, manipulating, cheating your way in to a chick's pants or entering a relationship with false pretenses. Easiest way out will be the truth, I think. At least the truth in the sense of, "I wasn't sure I wanted/was ready for a LTR...now I know I'm not" and not "You were a toy, and I think I'll go to the toy store to get a new one...in to the closet you go!"

Sorry dude, nothing good in this post.

Get out of the relationship today, and take a step back and reevaluate some things and who you want to be

The only reason to be in a LTR is because deep inside you want to be. Not because you just want to try it out. You are playing with somebody's emotions here! Putting a timeline on it and looking for a way to end an ltr makes me think you are on the crack pipe! NO wonder these girls put up bitch shields like they do.

If this chic figures you out, she'll cut this off before the 1yr mark. Girls are smart like that, I think its called "women's intuition."

This whole PUA deal is not just about picking up girls, its about making your self a better person. I think you need to work on the second part.

Hate to keep piling it on, but THIS is why guys have to learn PUA skills!

Jesus dude, break it off!

Women are emotional and they connect with people on levels that men WILL never understand. She will be crushed when you end it, and the longer you wait the worse it will be.

Topdog said it best:

"Nothing good in this post"

Grimm is right as well:

"This post makes me not want to write on these boards anymore or be involved with this community too much."

Talk about low value...

With this kind of thinking, you'll never become a man worth having...

I used to do stuff like this.....in high school. A man of high value doesn't have to , and doesn't do this. He is straight forward about what he wants, and doesnt have to manipulate. Now, there is tact involved, with all PUA methods.
Others will do what they may,but outright lying, and manipulation is not the road I choose to take.

Yup gotta second what everyone else said... if you enjoy being a PUA, then the only reason you should be getting into the LTR is because she is THAT special and you want to be with her long term, not because you just want to check it out and plan on ending it at a certain amount of time. When you find the woman you can't have as JUST an FB in your life, get in a LTR with her... but with the goal of seeing where it goes, not the goal of ending it.

Maybe I do think she's special. I like being with, her but I'm just being honest with myself that I don't want to do this forever. How am I manipulating her if I actually think she's a great girl and want to be around her?

I'm going to take a step back and genuinely re-evaluate this because I have faith in you guys and a lot of good advice has yeilded from this board, and know most of you mean well. I just think a lot of you are under the false impression that me and this girl aren't in love.
