I've gotten the daughters contact info in front of mom twice. Both times daughter was college age, I might add.

Why is that even a big deal? I #-closed a girl right in front of her mom today...in court of all places.

The key is to make the mom like you, but still be edgy enough to be interesting to the girl. Obviously open the mom first. Then ignore the girl a little while you are talking to the mom.

But good job on doing this twice.

A lot of methods can work, I like indirect if it's situationally relevant and not some bullshit line, but i'm not saying bullshit lines don't work.

i'm a direct man myself, partly yes because i'm lazy and partly because I like to give the girl a "movie moment." I want her to remember the approach and direct is just way more romantic. It's kind of like being good in bed - not necessary to get laid but sure feels good to knock her socks off. Give her something to write home about, tell her friends about, etc.
