Hey, accents are great, I had a brit friend not associated with this board and we used to run a Trainspotting gambit when we went out. I would put on the Trainspotting accent and we would just... well act POME. He usually blew it for me by telling them I'm not actually a Brit. I've also used My Aussie, German, french and my favorite, Macedonian. I try to stay from languages they might know that I don't know because it increases the chance of a backfire. If course I haven't done this in years but if you are going for an ONS why not.

It depends on if going direct is congruent with who you are. If it fits your persona, you can pretty much do it any time, anywhere.

I started this journey going the whole indirect route.

I have since started on occasion using direct game.

I would just say get a feel for what the situation calls for. I must say for the most part indirect is still best. I do get a slight rush from my direct game though.

I agree. I have been using direct a lot more lately because it is fun for me. The indirect thing has gotten a little old but I do think it is more reliable. I think the impatient part of me combines with the part of me that loves to say exactly what I feel and that is why I like to be direct. That being said, you do need to calibrate it. There are times when going direct would be a horrible choice.
