Surrounded by Negativity

This may be a scattered post, but I figured that only other PUAs can understand my situation. I have been in the game for about 1.5 years and I have improved a lot. Not just with game, but my social skills are vastly better. As everyone who goes out to pick up girls regularly knows, the game can be very harsh. Rejection is part of the game and you have to develop a thick skin to deal with being blown off and blown out. Since I have managed to stay in the game and seen myself achieve more than I thought was possible, I am proud of myself. I'm sure many of you feel the same way.

The reason I am writing this post however, is because most of my friends in Stillwater view my achievements negatively. The best example I can give is from last night. We were out at a bar and I was having a great time. I decided to tell one of my friends the story of my lay report (Tom Cruise Nails a Cougar) because I knew he would get a kick out of it. He, his wife, and his visiting friends thought it was hilarious. Unfortunately, another friend overheard the story and launched into what can only be described as a tirade. She said that I have a problem (because I am always hitting on girls and I sleep around too much) and that I need help. At first I thought she was joking and then she clarified saying that she was dead serious. Then she talked about how I shouldn't be so promiscuously, etc. The thing that pissed me off the most about it is that she has told me in the past that she used to be promiscuous herself before she got married.

I know I am doing this only for myself and I wouldn't take back anything I have done, but it would be nice for my friends to at least realize how much shit I have gone through to get where I am. I feel like a lot of it is jealousy because I have the balls to go out and get what I want out of life. Again, this is not an isolated incident. I constantly get comments from my friends about my game. In addition, some of my friends also constantly complain about school and living in Stillwater. I am usually really positive but it is hard to maintain that outlook when these people around me keep acting negatively. None of these friends are aware of the community or what I am doing. Anyway, I just wanted to put this out there to see if others have had similar experiences.

If you put 1 crab in a bucket, you need to put a lid on it, beause it will climb out.
If you put 2 crabs in a bucket, you dont need a lid. If 1 tries to climb out to freedom, the other will try to pull it back in.

Another Stillwater guy? I went to school at OSU and graduated in May of '92.

At any rate, I'm getting WAY more tail now, at 38, then I ever dreamed of getting in college.

On to your story. I'm starting to figure out that women don't like the player. They all want a relationship (so they can get bored with that poor loser and cheat around on him...with a player!). This woman had obviously had her heart broken by a player at one time or another. That's all, I would imagine.

Guys look up to the player who gets lots of women, but a lot of guys, like me, get jealous, too. When I see someone doing better with women than me, deep down inside, I'm jealous. I admit it. I want to be the best at everything I do. I'd guess a lot of guys are the same, so these guy friends who are trying to bring you down are probably just jealous, deep down inside.

You said it yourself, you've put a lot of work into improving yourself so that you'll be more sexually attractive to women. Its self improvement, nothing more, nothing less. No need to apologize.

Yeah. Its personal journey. That's what alot of people need to realize.
You're doing this for yourself. Your reasons are your own. There may come a day when you decide to not do this but it will be a time of your own choosing.
