ID problem...

Ok, so I sorta lost my Wallet at the Kroger and the person who found it isn't honest enough to turn it in. not so much worried about the money as there was only $30, and I canceled all of my cards, but my ID was in there. and I sorta can't get it back because I have traffic tickets not to mention the license is suspended. I'd likely have to take care of that before I can get a new copy. now, some may say that I don't look 21 and without my ID I foresee many problems getting into clubs/bars.

do you guys know of any alternative ID that might be accepted to get in one of these establishments? (I'd imagine some are harder than others) all I have are my Social security card/birth certificate and work ID....think I could get a non-drivers license ID even with the tickets? (if I go to the dmv am I going to jail?)

You can get a state issued ID, no they will not arrest you. They will probably give you a phone number to call to take care of it.

you wont go to jail unless there are warrants out for the tickets. And yes i do believe you can get and id without paying the tickets. I have an id that i use when i go out instead of my drivers license. They look almost exactly the same anyways.

they are warrants...but not in the city of the DMV that I'm going to...

hmm. might as well try and take care of the warrants since it takes like a month to get that damn id anyway. but it probably wont matter since you're in a different city. i dont know man.

Passports are just as valid at bars if you have one.
