I'm planning a trip to Vegas at the end of the month as well...on the 27th I'll be leaving before the 30th, though so I doubt I'd catch Hunter...it'll be my first time out there...how much money should I expect to spend? apparently the rooms can be gotten pretty cheaply (like $60) I'm not sure I'll appreciate a place that caters to women so much, though...and I *hate* waiting in lines...and then they're quick to rush you off of the tables...this kind of lifestyle will likely clash with my laid-back persona...but I guess this is probably a pretty necessary evil...

Vegas is ruled by money it is insane. It gets tossed around like crazy. As far as cheap rooms go I have no idea you will have to find that out on your own. I would try Motel 6, there is a Motel 6 right on the main strip and I am assuming it would be cheaper but honestly I have no clue.
How much you should be guessing to spend... How long are you staying?? I mean it is really up to you and how much you plan to do. If you don't gamble that will save you quite a bit of cash right there. The clubs are typically like 30 bucks or so to get in. JUST IN. Bottle service and tables at clubs are insanely expensive. So you shouldn't even consider doing it unless you have some free cash to spend or you are with a large group. If you go with a large group of guys 350 a bottle might not be too bad divided like 12 ways if you get the table too but I would just say stay away from it.
If you can meet people that are tied to the clubs it will save you a lot of trouble. Like girls that work there as promo girls, waitresses, DJ's, club promoters, a bouncer at the door. Also talk to business guys that are there for conferences. Usually the conferences have parties on the opening night of the conference at a night club. The parties have an open bar and you get to stay in the club when the party is over so you get free cover and you are trashed for free =P. Most of these parties though require wristbands or name tags to get in but maybe you can pull some strings or something.
It also depends on how much you plan to drink. Most drinks in vegas are expensive like 8-10 bucks a drink. So pregame. There is a 711 there, just go to it buy some 40oz's or whatever and just walk to wherever you are going drinking them on the way.
Food buffets will run you like 25ish at a really good one like bellagio. If you show up at lunch right before they start serving dinner i think round 4ish? you will get in the buffet paying the lunch price but will get to eat all the dinner food.
I would just recommend eating fastfood or something though during the lunches and keeping it cheap and then maybe spending a little more at dinner.
the fastfood is about the same price as everywhere else. I think the dollar menu at wendy's is like 1.79 instead of 1.00 though =(.
Also there a guys that go around and give away passes to get into the clubs and usually you tip them like a few bucks for the passes. Some are legit and some I dont think are so its kind of risky but 3 bucks for passes and it saving you 30 a person pays off. Also you might get hassled by the bouncers with the passes if they feel like dicks so show up early.
That's another thing some bouncer might be a total dick and you walk up to the next guy and he lets you in no problem.
There was one club I went to that I had met the DJ earlier that day so me and 2 buddies were on a VIP list. the bouncer i walked up to was a total dick and my two buddies got in no problem with the bouncer right beside him and they were just like hes with us so I got in ok but that just proves the point.
Some people say the best thing to do is bribe the bouncers but I have never tried it and didnt want to risk 20 bucks or whatever on doing it.
If all else fails just show up to a club really early and walk up with confidence and be like I am on the list. I am friends with the waitress (Insert girls name). Usually they will check this by earpiece but if they are busy or just dont care, or you act like they are mistaken they might let you through lol.
Also just for general information the club LAX and a few others have a VIP section that is only separated from the rest by a rope. If you feel adventurous you can just jump over the rope when no one is looking.
I also found that if you go up to the bouncers and be like dude take a picture with me and get a friend to snap a quick photo, they feel all celebrity status and are nicer to you usually.
I am kind of rambling now but theres a lot of good tips in there and if you have any other questions lemme know.
