Tao Vegas advice?

Postby Guest » Tue May 06, 2008 9:49 pm

I'm planning on heading out to Vegas at the beginning of June. I've
already made reservations for Tao's restaurant at midnight Friday
night, with a couple of extra seats at the table for any hotties we decide
are worthy of being in our presence.

Does anyone know if you have access to the club from the restaurant
area? And will we be able to keep the table for as long as we like that evening?

Thanks for the help.

im borderline a vegas whore...

the restaurant does not give you access to the club. for the most part dudes need to reserve a table. they expect 1 bottle for every 3 people with a minimum of 2 bottles. when your bottles are gone your table is gone. you need to keep buying bottles to stay at the table. if your bottles are done you can still stay in the club though.

if you dont wanna do table service then i recommend getting there early, like 10:30, to get in. if you're not with girls, you will have to wait in their long ass line and pay cover. if you are with a few girls you'll have to wait in line and pay cover but the girls wont. and if you are with a ton of girls and not many guys (think 10 girls 2 guys) then you'll probably be able to skip the line but probably still pay cover.

safest bet for guys going anywhere in vegas: do bottle service and bring girls.

Yea I have been to tao, it is an awesome club and I pimped it like no other =P

First you need to show up early there is a huge line a lot of times. Also there are multiple rooms, I mean this club is huge. There is a techno area downstairs I think near the restaurant. This room usually sucks. I like techno but the room was pretty dead and there is no where to sit or anything so you cant isolate a girl here easily either (i tried). The girl DJing was pretty cute though down there so I hit on her a bit =P

Upstairs right by the entrance is a small room that is mostly rap and R & B. This room actually isnt too bad at all and is decent to sarge in.

The main room is straight back from the entrance and is huge as well. It is usually packed and thats where I would say spend most of your time. If you take a left once you get there and go straight back behind the dance floor there is a balcony and this is a great place to hang out and hit on chicks. (since it is a lot less loud) Also balcony is a good place to isolate chicks for sure.

Every once in a while a girl will walk around with a tray of shots and will be dressed in this outfit that is like white fur looking. They will generally try to flirt with you and get you to buy a shot and the line I used on one that worked wonders was I think I asked them what kind of shots it was and it was some dumb answer like kamikaze or whatever. I said "Damn dressed like that you should call the shots Eskimo kisses, you would sell a lot more" Whichever girl you say this too will generally be like WOW that is a great idea.

Also my advice is, when i was there it seemed like i ran into at least a few locals and some really hot girls. the line i found that worked the best opening all night is "You know you are really cute, You are ALMOST as cute as I am" Besides that if you just be yourself and instead of trying to buy them drinks call them dorks and stuff you should do well.

I'm planning a trip to Vegas at the end of the month as well...on the 27th I'll be leaving before the 30th, though so I doubt I'd catch Hunter...it'll be my first time out there...how much money should I expect to spend? apparently the rooms can be gotten pretty cheaply (like $60) I'm not sure I'll appreciate a place that caters to women so much, though...and I *hate* waiting in lines...and then they're quick to rush you off of the tables...this kind of lifestyle will likely clash with my laid-back persona...but I guess this is probably a pretty necessary evil...

Vegas is ruled by money it is insane. It gets tossed around like crazy. As far as cheap rooms go I have no idea you will have to find that out on your own. I would try Motel 6, there is a Motel 6 right on the main strip and I am assuming it would be cheaper but honestly I have no clue.

How much you should be guessing to spend... How long are you staying?? I mean it is really up to you and how much you plan to do. If you don't gamble that will save you quite a bit of cash right there. The clubs are typically like 30 bucks or so to get in. JUST IN. Bottle service and tables at clubs are insanely expensive. So you shouldn't even consider doing it unless you have some free cash to spend or you are with a large group. If you go with a large group of guys 350 a bottle might not be too bad divided like 12 ways if you get the table too but I would just say stay away from it.

If you can meet people that are tied to the clubs it will save you a lot of trouble. Like girls that work there as promo girls, waitresses, DJ's, club promoters, a bouncer at the door. Also talk to business guys that are there for conferences. Usually the conferences have parties on the opening night of the conference at a night club. The parties have an open bar and you get to stay in the club when the party is over so you get free cover and you are trashed for free =P. Most of these parties though require wristbands or name tags to get in but maybe you can pull some strings or something.

It also depends on how much you plan to drink. Most drinks in vegas are expensive like 8-10 bucks a drink. So pregame. There is a 711 there, just go to it buy some 40oz's or whatever and just walk to wherever you are going drinking them on the way.

Food buffets will run you like 25ish at a really good one like bellagio. If you show up at lunch right before they start serving dinner i think round 4ish? you will get in the buffet paying the lunch price but will get to eat all the dinner food.

I would just recommend eating fastfood or something though during the lunches and keeping it cheap and then maybe spending a little more at dinner.

the fastfood is about the same price as everywhere else. I think the dollar menu at wendy's is like 1.79 instead of 1.00 though =(.

Also there a guys that go around and give away passes to get into the clubs and usually you tip them like a few bucks for the passes. Some are legit and some I dont think are so its kind of risky but 3 bucks for passes and it saving you 30 a person pays off. Also you might get hassled by the bouncers with the passes if they feel like dicks so show up early.

That's another thing some bouncer might be a total dick and you walk up to the next guy and he lets you in no problem.

There was one club I went to that I had met the DJ earlier that day so me and 2 buddies were on a VIP list. the bouncer i walked up to was a total dick and my two buddies got in no problem with the bouncer right beside him and they were just like hes with us so I got in ok but that just proves the point.

Some people say the best thing to do is bribe the bouncers but I have never tried it and didnt want to risk 20 bucks or whatever on doing it.

If all else fails just show up to a club really early and walk up with confidence and be like I am on the list. I am friends with the waitress (Insert girls name). Usually they will check this by earpiece but if they are busy or just dont care, or you act like they are mistaken they might let you through lol.

Also just for general information the club LAX and a few others have a VIP section that is only separated from the rest by a rope. If you feel adventurous you can just jump over the rope when no one is looking.

I also found that if you go up to the bouncers and be like dude take a picture with me and get a friend to snap a quick photo, they feel all celebrity status and are nicer to you usually.

I am kind of rambling now but theres a lot of good tips in there and if you have any other questions lemme know.

I go to Vegas every month or so.....

Blue is absolultely right, bring a girl or girls to get in. And even with girls, expect to show up early or tip the bouncer if you don't want to wait in any line at all.

I showed up to one popular club one time with me and two HOT girls. We already had a table reserved with bottle service and they told me my wait was still going to be 45 minutes because of all of the VIPs that were in front of me. I tipped him $100 and we walked right in.

Money talks in Vegas and for me, spending $100 is worth it to not waste my night standing in line.

If you don't have any girls with you, grab a couple cute ones out of the line and tell them that if they come up front with you to help you get in, you will buy their first round. Works every time for me.

Don't forget that if you are gambling, you can get comps. Many times if I know I am going to throw down at the tables, I will just go to the casino that has the club I want to get in to.

After I have gambled a bit, I ask to be comped a VIP pass to the club. Most people aren't agressive enough at getting comped in Vegas - gamble, ask and you shall receive.

Finally, it also helps if you have a local with you. A Nevada driver's license will help you get in almost anywhere. My buddies and I have pulled this off a couple of times - we went to a strip club during the day and talked a stripper who was getting off work into coming to a club later that evening with us. One time the girl actually liked me so she eagerly went along with it. The other time we bribed the girl with free drinks to come out with us.

The strippers often times know the bouncers or know friends of the bouncers and you can walk right in wiht them.

Only one place to go in Vegas for clubbing: Moon Bar at the top of the Palms. This place ROCKS! But they do have a dress code.

Also, if you can afford to stay at the Palms, do it. They have a pool area with several bars and HOT women everywhere during the day. It's packed, loud music. Very cool place. But you must have a room key to access the pool area.

It goes without saying, make sure you are dressed appropriately. We got denied once after waiting in line due to the guy i was with and what he was wearing.

I'll be in vegas the 20th -24th this month if anyone else will be there, drop me a PM and we can meet up
