ok...

well it seems like everyone here can type really good and tell really great stories... i'm not good at story telling, actually, my story is... i'm new here, to this forum and the community. i would say i'm stupid when it comes to women. the funny thing is, i read the game and rules of the game by styles and i'm still an idiot at this. i still get approach anxiety, i'm sloppy at openers, i dont have good body language (i usually come off as an asshole or mean when females c me), i cant neg, tell jokes or remember routines. actually the only opener, routine and negs i know is the who lies more, the ESP which everygirl i've asked didnt say 7, and... i like that dress, i saw another girl with it on somewhere here...

sloppy me..

It takes a while man. If i would to suggest a few things for people to start with it would be

Have fun
Do 1000 approaches. (any and everywhere)
Practice eye contact on everyone and without being nervous
Say hello/hi to everyone, after a while
start asking questions: How is your day, Do you know where XYZ is, etc.
Even talk to guys when you are out. Talk about sports/work/weather etc.

Dont read too much material, just enough to get you started. If you can afford it, take a boot camp. This will warp speed your progress immensely.

passive value does help:
Get your hair styled (not necessary but shows you are in know)
body language
Work out
Cloths

Yep. Don't focus on what you don't have, focus on what you do have.
The difference is indifference.

Bull Run, you are right. That said, positive thinking is not a substitute for skills.

Though the OP is extremely negative...just checking in on the side of reason...I seem to be surrounded by 'optimistic' people.

Optimisim is for negative people. I'm not sure who said that, but it's true.

True. Positive thinking is no substitue for skills, however I'm sure you've heard the term fake it till you make it. I think being optimistic is required in order for you to continue bashing your head in as you learn skills...to continue faking it.

Think of it as if you were trying to lose a lot of weight, the physical pain and work that's required to do so will only be done if you're optimistic about achieving the results.

PU is much the same. It's not a ton of fun to get started and constantly be humbled, but the results are enticing enough to keep you going, to keep you optimistic.

This is why I say focus on being optimistic, focus on what you have and learn how to make the most of those tools. Don't ignore your weaknesses, don't dwell on them either, instead be optimistic that you'll figure out a way to turn a weakness into a strength.

Yeah what Bull Run said.

Just to add to it, you'll hear a lot about framing or inner game when you start reading more into pu. Even in Neil's book he talks about what inner game is to a degree. The point is we understand this is forum where the hopes are the we can get positive criticism with each other, and i commend you for being honest with yourself, but be careful that this is where is stops. You won't believe how well this stuff works when you really do believe that you are the shit when you walk in the room. Once you break thru the point where rejections are just water off your back as any good salesman would say the results will be amazing. To get to that point though start "believing" you are the prize when you enter these sets. As for getting past the rejection points I agree with the earlier posters in that it's just a matter of time and numbers. Keep plowing man. You'll get there.

i walked into 3 sets on monday, got a # in every one, and walked into a 2 set and walked out with both #'s and a kiss. I felt like a bad ass, like I owned the fucking bar.

Tonight I was in a shitty mood and was crushed by 2 sets. I've been getting myself hyped up by thinking I'm doing something positive to change my life. It works.
