Flaking

I'll say this:

I have this girl I've been dealing with for probably too long. She always flakes the day before we're supposed to meet or wtvr...so I set up another for Sunday...at the exact time I had planned to meet some friends for lunch...and flaked on her.

Since then, she's called me at least once a day her flirty behavior has doubled in strength, and has text'd me every night asking if I want to go grab a beer or something before I go to work.

Not saying it will work every time, perhaps this is a special instance...but it seemed to make a bit of difference.

LOL I'm all for fight fire with fire! If she's playing games with you, throw it back at her.

I couldn't have worded it better! I think that might have been BR's original intent on the post. In it's simplest form, at least. : D

Yeah, it's effective for getting a chick to your house RIGHT NOW. It's also effective for dealing with flakes.

Glad you gave it a shot Smirks! That's what this is all about, experiment then analyize the results.

I'm suprised you took so much heat for this post BR.

I can't say one bad thing about it. I think if you have the balls to do it then do it. Yes there is a chance you will lose the girl if you flake. And that is exactly the mindset you need in this game. Never be afraid to walk away. Never be afraid to lose the girl.

Haha...

So I am messing with my TV. For some reason my channel wont change. It has been stuck on the Food Network channel for 2 straight days. Thank goodness I barely watch TV.

So I am sitting there thinking alright let me figure this out I am sick of watching people cook. So finally I get the thing to change channels. As I am surfing I come across the movie Hitch. I don't know how far in the movie is but this exact scenario plays out.

Word for word like you described it in your original post BR. So I must ask is that where you got this tactic?

Nah man, that's original Bull Run material. Trial and error. Just sort of did it one night inadverently then got to thinking about how effective it could be.

Like you, I don't watch much TV. Actually, you're one step ahead of me. I don't even have cable.

This goes back to one of my theories regarding Pop culture, which is probably applicable to PUA. Nothing is truly original. More than likely, someone somewhere has had an idea exactly the same as or very similar to yours before you ever came up with it. One of my favorite quotes of all time:

"The collage is the chosen art form of the 21st century." - Andy Warhol (I think)

In other words, anything new will simply be bits and pieces of old ideas that are arranged in a new way.

Sorry, didn't mean to lay the philosophy on you there...

As gay as it may be, I really enjoyed that movie.

I have seen the movie once. I didn't have time to watch the move this time. In fact I turned it on and it was already in the middle of it. I must say though if you are new to this game you should watch it. It covers some aspects of PU that can relate to everyone. Ecspecially newbies.
