New forum section for cross-posts?

Got something to say?

Should there be a separate forum for cross-posted material?

Yes, it would be better if it were separated from the normal discussion

No, it's just fine to have it in the same forums as everything else

Vector,

I understand your concerns about keeping the boards clean from guys like myself trying to promote our products. But if the information can be helpful to the board members, why not figure out a way to make it work?

So if I understand you correctly, you mainly want to keep the board free from spamming and advertisements.

And I would like to post some material that maybe helpful to the guys on this forum.

So how can we make this work?

What a lot of the other forums have done is enforced strick posting guidelines where they are only limited to 1 link to their ad in the signature of their post. The moderators moderate the posts to ensure this. And after a second offense, they are banned. What are you thoughts on this?

I feel that that will achieve both of our objectives and at the same time, allow the board members to access content that might potentially be what they need to help them overcome their sticking point or add to their game.

Maybe we can give it a test run for a week and see what happens? What do you guys think?

repost

Postby El Fenix » Wed Mar 05, 2008 8:47 am

I'm reminded of something one of my profs said:
"I've never had a truly pure motive in my life, so I do what's right and dont worry about the motive."

The intent of actions, and articles can often be clear. Determining personal motives, is a much more obscure thing. I am not wise enough, to presume to be able to always tell someone else's motives or agenda. If we are honest, we all have an agenda here at Dallas PUA. Remaining 100% objective and impartial is something no human can do. We all are biased.

That being said, there should be a section for cross posts, and things to be reposted from somewhere else. Maybe a repost forum?
There is a lot of good information out there. It's in 20,000 different places though. Dont a few other lairs have some kind of library? We could start our own also. It's very useful to have it all in 1 place, versus searching all over creation to find it.

That's my piece. Seacrest out

"Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt."
