Inner game...

Postby Pr0wler » Thu Jan 25, 2007 12:21 pm

I've come to the conclusion that inner game is really the only true method to getting rock solid game. Learning routines and reciting them is effective, but i believe women are way more intuitive then we make them out to be. Inner game is crucial because without it there are interesting bits of social interactions that women can pick up on. I believe that women can sense social elements that we as males can't learn through a routine. What do you guys think?

Pr0wler - I think you are right on the money with this. Success with routines and techniques helps build self confidence which leads to better body language and attitude. If your inner game is solid I truly believe you can say just about ANYTHING and close. BTW - I have a lot of work do do. . .

As Style said, you can’t be your self; you must be your best self. You can’t just BE confident. So, start by learning routines and become COMPETENT. That will lead to confidence. The best thing to do IMHO is to come up with your OWN routines. Things from your own life. Sure, tweak them a little. Add in a few DHV spikes here and there.

How many times have you told the same story to 10 different friends? Did you ever embellish it a little to make yourself look good? Same thing when sarging HBs.

My father has a saying that he's used since I was a kid, "If you can't bedazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit." I always it was a good social technique. Working on inner game in the end is what it is all about. Part of that is working on outer game. Canned patterns are great because they give you something to use when learning how social interaction works. When you understand that it's obvious what will work without having to use canned patterns. Social interaction will become more natural and the canned stuff will be left behind. While you are doing all this, the inner game will start to come along and you will start to see what personal issues you need to work on. Canned stuff will be there as a fall back when confidence wanes and will help you through the humps. It's not a one or the other thing. It's a process that brings about that best self, and that is the end goal anyway.

Learn the rules, learn how they are applied and then use what you learn as personal rules. Confidence will come from applied expertise. It's the same in business or school or any other endevor you undertake.
