moving in on girls who have just ended a relationship

what are your thoughts on asking out girls who have just ended a relationship? i think i recall style saying in The Game to just ignore anything to do with boyfriends, past or present, but is this always good advice?

It's easy game. I agree about avoiding talk of boyfriends. Girls are emotional...you want to keep their mind away from that emotional bond they just broke and in the fun/sex zone.

EDIT:
If you know the guy...well...that's a whole different ball game.

Uh, tell her you just got out of a bad relationship so you dont want to jump into one right away.

Built in Disqualifier and she can relate to you emotionally on that....and once you use that line, she cant without looking like a dork :D

Yep. I've recently done this and am in the process of slow gaming a chick that just got out of a relationship. I didn't know she just got out of one when I pulled her number, when she brought it up I teased her and then disqualified/related to her. My response was something along the lines of:

"Wow, how presumuptous of you to assume that I'm pursuing you as anything more than friends. I just got out of a relationship as well and I'm not emotionally avaliable for anything anyway."

She dropped the subject and hasn't brought it back up. We've been casually chatting for about three weeks, once a week on the phone to 'check in' and share crazy, drunken stories and somewhat occassionally via text. She's asked to hang out a couple of times and I always tell her that I'm cool with how things are right now and that we'll figure it out eventually. My theory is that her interest grows in me as I continue to refuse to do the 'normal guy' thing and try to 'get with her.'

Meanwhile I've spent the last few weeks living my 'normal' life by gaming other chicks.
The difference is indifference.

Most men and women go from one relationship to another. I think that it's just human nature to be co-dependent. Well at least most people seem to be! It's like Smirks said"easy game"that's what people fresh outta relationships are. However, do not think that this gal is gonna be something long term cause my personal experience has shown me otherwise.. Be careful, guard your heart and remember that "no one loves you like yourself".."trust no one completely"-The 48 laws of power.
