Proposition: 2008 - The 90 Day Challenge. Join me.

Postby niceguy » Sun Jan 06, 2008 9:27 am

I am inviting you in my New Year's challenge.
PM me or respond to the thread and we'll keep each other accountable.

90 Days. Nonstop.

Start: Monday, January 7, 2008
End: Sunday, April 6, 2008

This is an adaptation of Jeff Olson's philosophy on The Slight Edge. It is tailored to a Casanova Crew PUA Challenge.

The theme is - It's easy to do. And it's easy NOT to do.

It's a commitment. There is no reason why anyone cannot complete this 90 Day Challenge. No excuses.

Further Reference on The Slight Edge Philosophy

The challenge goes as follows...

1. Converse with 2 new people per day.
2. Write mini goals to accomplish for the day. Minimum 1.
3. Write 1 Line that you will try using.
4. Read 10 pages of a good book/day
5. Listen to 20 minutes of good audio/day
6. Play/Do a Hobby for 10 minutes/day.
7. Stretch and Exercise. Stretch in the morning, inside your bedroom. Do 1 push up.
8. Start a journal. Either on your computer or buy a composition notebook at Wal Mart for $1.

1. Meet 2 new people, everyday (or Sarge). Doesn't matter who. Doesn't matter what, how or where. Work on Social Dynamics and talk to 2 new people everyday.

If you find yourself at midnight without having met 2 new people, drive down to 7/11 to buy a pack of gum and chat up the store clerk and say Hello to a customer.

2. Write mini-goals. If you're in a rush, write them on a napkin on your way to work and keep it in your pocket. The goals should NOT be outcome oriented. "I will makeout with a girl tonight" is NOT the focus of this goal setting commitment. It needs to be do-able. Failsafe. Such as...

"I will open 3 sets."
"I will compliment a girl on something besides the obvious."
"I will open a mixed set."
"I will test a new line/routine."

3. Write 1 Line that you will try using. To become a well-balanced PUA, we need to experiment and try things. The gurus in this industry have practiced lines and routines for years upon years FOR US! TAKE ADVANTAGE! Who knows, you might actually find a line that fits your style perfectly and works successfully 100% of the time. You will never know until you try.

4. Read 10 pages of a good book a day. Some studies have shown...The average person who does not continue their education out of high school, is found to read only 2 books in the span of 10 years. Some with a college education will read only 2 books in the span of 5 years.

If you read 10 pages a day, with an average book ~200 pages, you will have read 4.5 books in 90 days. 18 books in a year. 90 books in 5 years. That's 45x more than a college grad.

5. 20 minutes of a good audio/day. Listen to it during your drive to work. In the Personal Development industry, they call it "Drive-time University."

Quit filling your head with music or radio commercials that fill your head with unproductive ideas. ESPECIALLY commercials. A vast majority of them are FEAR-BASED marketing techniques. Such as, "You have to buy this or else your life will suck." No wonder so many people live in fear. They need the magic pill in order to live a happy life. We know better.

6. Do a hobby. You're wondering why you run out of DHV stories or don't feel like an interesting person? I've definitely felt that. My hobbies as of right now are, Guitar and Internet. Guess what they were 5 years ago. Yeah, the same shit.

To grow into a better person, it may be wise to become a Worldly Individual. Experience new things. Pickup a new hobby. If you don't have one, find one. If you have one, exercise it at least 10 minutes per day.

7. Stretch and exercise. In the morning, do a full body stretch. This takes 2 minutes. Do it before or after you shower. Arms, legs, back, chest, neck, stomach. That's it. Then, do 1 push up. Why one push up? Because, it's easy to do, and it's easy not to do.

One of the most athletic people I know got to where he is because he committed to 1 push up per day. Usually, when he's down there doing his 1 push up, he would do more. Sometimes, he felt like shit, and only did 1 push up. At least he is doing the action and staying committed.

8. Start a journal. The journal is very simple. Record your activities. This also does not need to be complicated and difficult. Either use Notepad.exe on your computer or get a little notebook. Write the date on top and write #1-#7 on the page. And just write Yes or No by it before you sleep. You can add any details if you find it worth writing down.

Example:
01/07/2008
#1. Yes - James the 7/11 store clerk, Carl at the Mobil Gas Station.
#2. Yes - Complimented a girl on her shoes - Made up a handshake with a stranger
#3. Yes - Tried "We are soo not going to get along!"
#4. Yes - Read 16 pages of Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill
#5. Yes - Listened to 20 minutes of RSD Foundations
#6. Yes - I played the guitar for 10 minutes. Learned to play Jack Johnson - Taylor
#7. Yes - Stretched in the morning. Did 7 push ups.

If you've found this after the 7th, you're still welcome to join in. Just make a 90 day commitment.

Lets keep each other accountable.

Niceguy, I want you to know that your challenge really inspired me. I know that I have a long history of promising myself that I will achieve certain goals and then letting myself down later down the line, but this time, I believe that I can do it.

We start tomorrow! :D

Alright, it begins.

If you find this after the 7th, you can still join in. Just make sure it goes 90 days from when you start.

GL and lets keep each other in check.
