DHV without implying wealth

Postby Rembrandt » Sat Nov 24, 2007 11:55 pm

I find that most DHV's that I have read tend to imply that someone has a certain level of wealth or income or that they associate with people of a certain level of wealth.

I know a lot of guys who constantly try to imply that they have more money than they really do to impress women.....especially in Dallas.

I want to avoid the women that are just looking for a man with a big pocketbook. I also don't want to imply that I have more money than I do. It just seems that so many DHV's are really just subtle hints to a woman that you do have money.

Does anyone have examples that don't involve name dropping or hinting at wealth. I guess what I'm talking about are honest DHV's.

Even if I was a millionaire, the last thing i would want to do would be to telegraph that information to every woman I met.

DHV stories should hit the "attraction switches." The 2 most known are Leader of men, and protector of loved ones. Willingness to emote is one too. Think of times when you were excellent, or something happened where you stepped up in a big way. The best DHV stories are real.
2 of the stories I'm working on, from my life, are: Hurricane Leadership, and 9-11 Loss. Both of these stories happened to me.

education a DHV?

Postby Rembrandt » Mon Nov 26, 2007 1:20 am

Say you have a masters degree in finance. Would that be something you should mention? i wouldn't mind women knowing that I'm educated, but then again I worry that this will imply that i make more money than I do. Plus I think that may be irrelevant. I don't know.

I speak a foreign language and mention that sometimes or the places I have travelled.......I own a house........I'm having a hard time coming up with DHV's or even knowing which ones are good ones.

My understanding is that if it comes up in conversation, you can mention it. If you go out of your way or over emphasize these things then, it looks try hard. Girls will always want to know these things. I give a wise guy answer first, then tell them the truth. Guys always get asked what they do for work, I say something crazy first, with a smile of course, Then I can go into what the real deal is.

You could always abstract it a bit and just make reference to "grad school" rather than the particulars (especially if it's the particulars that imply $). You might use a story about something that happened in grad school and just start it off with "back in grad school me and my buddies...Blah blah blah."

DHV's are not about showing more money. That is one aspect of being a leader in society at large but the two best DHV's are:

1. Leader of Men
2. Social Proof/ Preselected by women
also...
3. Protector of Loved ones
4. Willingness to emote.

There are others but Mystery's original work on this is best. Also look back at Mystery's Six Characteristics of the Alpha Male.

What is social proof?

Both Leader of Men and Preselection show social proof.

Social proof comes from Robert Cialdini's Six Weapons of Influence. In essence, when people are uncertain, they do what everyone else is doing. A good example is stock market behavior or major events like 9/11/01.

If a girl is uncertain and you tell and also show her how women like you, she will like you.

Uncertainty itself is also interesting.

If a girl is negged or tooled with, they will become uncertain.

Although negs do everything Mystery says they do, lower her self esteem and make her want to redeem herself; they also provide that needed uncertainty.

So you tell her how you've had lots of girlfriends or you talk about a cheerleader you dated or you talk about how you're a leader among your friends.

Hope that helps.
Why should I listen to you when you don't even get laid?

I used to know a guy that was a manager at a Dairy Queen. He lived in his mom’s house, he drove a POS car and he nailed every hot chick that worked for him. This guy was short, wore thick glasses and had girls cheating on their boyfriends with him. He never sexually harassed them or said “have sex with me if you want to keep your job."

After putting a lot of thought into this, I concluded that these women were attracted to him because in that environment he was the tribal leader. He was in control.

Her brain is not wired to know she’s working at DQ. It only knows that she MUST align herself with the tribal leader. This will give her children the best chance to survive (even if she doesn't want children). My friend was simply the most alpha guy in her world. Therefore, he reaped the benefits.

Plenty of people have money and edu in our area. I hear from women all the time that they are sick of men bragging about their station in life. Have you ever heard "he either has it or he doesn't"? I say always be an alpha and be a great storyteller! You have got to hook the fish before you reel it in!
