I never understood why shoes are so important...maybe I'm weird, but shoes are the *last* thing that I look at (and that's probably why I have such a hard time picking them out)

I thought i'd give everyone an update. We went to the Galleria mall in Dallas and had alot to look at. I highly recomend that if you can afford 150-200 on a shirt to check out a place called pink there. I could not so i went to Bannana Republic and bought a nice french cuff shirt and some cuff links to match. We then went and looked at Diesel Jeans which were more then i wanted to spend but looked good (200). At Guess we found great service from a gay guy and jeans around 95-125. This is what he said is the style, stone wash low rise boot cut. You be the judge but i kept wanting to pull my pants up. Now all i need are the boots. If you have any suggestions on boots or shoes in general hit me up.
Always be open to others opinions.

Boots:Aldo or Allen Outlets
I love lucky Jeans

Looks for sales guys. Collect interisting pieces 1 or 2 at a time. With clothes, you rarely have to pay full price for cool stuff, it's just a matter of looking.

Amen to the outlet malls, especially Kennith Cole...the affordable Prada. Sebastian's Closet is kinda expensive, but probably the best mens fashion spot in town. They also do the best tailor/haberdasher service in town, and are very reasonable on pricing. I will not take my cloths anywhere else.

I grew up around the fashion industry. My mother has been with a local agency for 26 years booking models, and my sister works for a massive retailer as the advertising director, so fashion is pretty much embedded in my brain. In the last couple years I've put on some muscle, and rather than wear a tight shirt and look like a douche-canoe, pretty much every time I go out its a t-shirt with with sleeves short enough to show off the vascularity (thanks mom and dad), $20 levis 527 (boot cut/low rise), and some raunchy ass, pointy cowboy boots, which happen to be the best money I've ever spend on boots (custom made by ponder boot company), and a brown corduroy blazer if its cold. I can get into any club in town looking like this.

A couple years ago I wore flat front pants, square toed shoes, and a dress shirt, but that's become the standard "go out to a bar" uniform. Men and women alike constantly deliver compliments on the boots.

Good luck finding a men's snipped toe boot that doesn't look like this:

mine were custom made by the Ponder Boot Company. Although its more expensive initially, they might last the rest of my life, they fit perfectly from the mold of my foot, and I own a truly unique pair of boots.

I almost bought some identical looking brown gators in Santa Fe, but they were $14,000. lol. I was thinking, "fuck, I did not need to see this shit, now I'm going to drop $1500 on a pair of fucking boots, but I don't have a choice...look at them." Then i saw the price and felt much better about buying that turbo kit for the miata when I got home...lol.
