How to lose a girl?

Ok so i am currently in a LTR the girl is a cool girl but i just dont see it going anywhere, but i think she does. In fact i think she is pretty invested into this relationship. Here is my dilemma, how do i make her feel like breaking up is her idea? Im a nice guy at heart and quite frankly i suck at the break up part. To add to this i would still like to keep her as a pivot for the future because she is attractive and in a sorority on campus so connection wise could be valuable. Id like to hear yalls ideas.

I had a similar situation with a girl that I liked but she basically became obsessed with me by the end of our relationship. Give her an explanation for why you can't be together. If you want to be the nice guy and put her down gently put the blame for the kink in the relationship on you. Make less time for her, and then use it as a pivot for breaking up. Say you want to get more serious with your job. Say that you're not good enough for her. Make shit up. Basically bring her up and you down. If she's that attached to you its probably impossible to avoid the waterworks but any way you do it its pretty much impossible unless you can get her to break up with you.

I like it but I think you should be a little more upfront. Breaking up should be a conversation, not a process. Don't let her hanging on a hook wondering why you are being distant.
